Description: Since 1974, Vermont's Most Beautiful Restaurant & Pub has been specializing in slow roasted prime rib, hand-cut steaks, homemade mashed potatoes and live lobster. Chef's specials daily. Extensive salad bar with 50+ items, including peel & eat shrimp, Cabot cheddar cheese, local breads, homemade carrot cake and free Monument Farms milk (try the chocolate!). We offer 9 different dining areas, each with its own unique theme. Families are always welcome-ask about our children's theater area. The Big Moose Pub opens at 4:30, the dining rooms at 5pm, daily. We do serve lunch, but only on Friday & Saturday (beginning at noon) and Sunday (starting at 1pm). Reservations appreciated.

There were five us, and we all had salad bar followed by a meal of scallops, salmon and steak. The service was very good and the meal was also excellent. My niece said they have the best chocolate milk for miles. This is the third year we have eaten there and plan on returning there next year.

Plenty to look at with all the little nooks and crannies and the decorations. Food is great and the salad bar well above average. They also offer a bread bar.

This place was recommended to us by a local we met at the Morgan Horse farm.
Service and food were great. They had a buffet, but we ordered off of the menu. We were told by our waitress that we could go up to the buffet to get milk, fresh bread ( several kinds ) and cheese as often as we wanted.
My husband had the prime rib and I had fish and chips. Both were very good.

Food is of very low quality. Ate there last night and got sick after returning most of my food uneaten. Totally gross.
Prime Rib seemed to be orange (red dye?), salad bar bread was stale. Worst meal i've had in years.

Dined here last year and returned again. Love the décor, pictures and memorabilia cover the walls, the restaurant is divided up in small rooms rather than one large room. Salad bar excellent, a number of fresh bread selections. Meal cook exactly to order. Great dining experience.
