Description: A meal at Jessica's Restaurant is always memorable. The recently updated dining room is a reflection of the casual comfort and style of this New England country inn. Jessica's Restaurant is located in the Swift House Inn in Middlebury, Vermont. Jessica's is just two blocks from downtown Middlebury, set in an 1814 stately home, surrounded by beautiful lawns and gardens. Jessica's casual atmosphere is the perfect place for an dinner for two, or a celebratory dinner for four to forty! Come early and enjoy our bar; Tom, with his more than 30 years of bartending experience, can fix you a cocktail or help you choose the right bottle of wine. We have won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for our wine list for six straight years! We also have local beers on tap including Switchback, from Southern Vermont; and two brews from Middlebury, Wolaver's Organic India Pale Ale and Otter Creek Seasona.

Everyone loved their dinner but the breakfast was even more delicious with both cold and hot options available. Traveling with 4 young adults who are very health conscious, the variety of fruits, yogurts, oatmeal and eggs made everyone extremely happy. Will definitely eat here again.

We were staying in Middlebury for 4 nights, and unfortunately only ate at Swift House the final night, It was August, so we sat on a pleasant screened porch surrounded by the beauty of the property on which Swift House is located.
We were the last to arrive, and there were about 6 other tables of people. Unfortunately, there was only one waiter, a lovely woman, who saw after things with spirit and efficiency. However, she could have used a busboy to help clear, as she had to do everything. But she smiled throughout and was very helpful with suggestions and was able to act unhurried.
The food was excellent and creative and, of course, included wonderful fresh vegetables that abound in Vermont in August. We look forward to a return trip - and more dinners than one.

Two visits to Jessica's Restaurant in the past two weeks proved to be excellent choices. We have had many excellent meals at the Swift House Inn over the past few years. Tom the bartender and host is very attentive, recommends excellent wines and makes one feel at home. The owners, Dan and Michele, have a beautiful upscale B&B. Both times we ate outside on the deck, a good choice in nice weather.

My only complaint was the lack of anchovies to finish the crisp and delicious caesar salad. My beef tenderloin was as advertised - tender, juicy, and worth a trip back. The Saltimbocca was also very good. The House Cabernet complimented the entrees and is my choice when we eat there. Overall two fine meals which enhanced conversation with friends.

We were a party of nine so I understand it's hard for the staff. This was an excellent meal and every entree was really good.
Only low points were the slow service and the fries could have been awesome but they were over seasoned which masked the underlying excellent fries.
These were minor issues and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

I would recommend then again for high end dining in Middlebury.

My husband and I LOVE Jessica's Restaurant and Chef Rob - we are never disappointed and choose Jessica's any chance we get to go out for a nice meal. We recently celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Jessica's and enjoyed caesar salads, the special - center-cut beef tenderloin with a blue cheese and horseradish cream sauce, served with mashed potatoes and asparagus, finished off with various desserts including the strawberry shortcake. I have never had a steak cooked so well - perfectly medium rare. Easily the best steak I have ever had.
Give Jessica's a try - you will absolutely not be disappointed!
