We had our trip booked and paid in full for the Labor Day weekend, but due to an illness we have had to cancel, but even though we had to forfeit our plans I wanted to take the time and write a review of my dealings with the owners of the property. The process from booking to the unfortunate cancellation could not have been more pleasant, I can not wait to actually visit the property for it seems it will be nothing but joy.

I originally considered renting the 3 bedroom cabin for the 5 of us but the 2 bedrooms were plenty for the weekend. Common areas are spacious and open and nicely decorated. It is a bit more out of the way than we anticipated but well worth the comfort. Great place! The owners, Christine and Chuck were super nice. If we head back in that direction again, I would want to stay at the Muddy Moose.

I was expecting the cabins to be nice but when my wife and I arrived and checked out our cabin we knew it was going to be a comfortable and very relaxing stay. I'm a sucker for rocking chairs and there are two on the porch of cabin 1 that look out over the green mountains. There's even a rocker in the living room so I couldn't have been happier. Free wifi, HD tvs in the living room and bedroom hooked up to DirecTV. (not that you want to watch it!) furnishings are new and well kept.

We plan on re visiting again. Give them a try.

This place is perfect. We are in the middle of nowhere. It is quiet and lovely...and yet, we have television and Internet! It is a great compromise for our group...some of whom wanted to camp! This has the perks of isolation, beautiful views, trees, and crickets at night...but all of the comforts of home. The cabin is gorgeous and had everything we needed. We want to come back again!

Room Tip: All of the cabins have a great setting and #4 is the most isolated/separate from the other 3 cabins.

Muddy Moose is a gem. We've been visiting northern VT almost every summer for the past 7 years to visit our daughter who dances each summer at Burklyn Ballet Theatre in Johnson. This year's trip was made special by having such a wonderful place to stay. Chuck and Christine are great and made sure we had everything we needed. The location is idyllic. The cabin is well equipped with everything you might need. We loved the setting so much that we decided to cook all of our meals there. We hiked the property which is beautiful. The game-barn is awesome. We hope to return next summer. Highly recommend the Muddy Moose!!!

Room Tip: Only four cabins all of which are great.
