“Great for big kids (I.e. adults) too”

We visited yesterday. Three adults. Parts of the interior are being reconfigured but there was still plenty to do and see. Loved watching the leaf cutter ants bustling about. Also enjoyed the trails through the woods. We were stalked by four deer for about 20 minutes with long spells of them looking at us looking at them. Brilliant. If I lived nearby, this would be a regular place on my list. Enjoy.

“Great place for kids to learn and have fun at the same time”

We visit this museum on an annual basis with our granddaughters and they love it. Great science exhibits for kids of all ages, both indoors and outdoors and many exhibits change from year to year. More than worth a visit!

“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2013

We went a few years ago when my so was 3 on a rainy day. We stayed inside and had a blast. My son is now 7 and we went again on a beautiful summer day. It was fantastic. Last time we did not do any of the other door activities, and this time we were able to. The have great hiking trails (my son loved the planet walk), and great outdoor water learning areas. He built a cork boat with the staff, floated it down their "river", and made adjustments each run to keep it afloat. He spent 1 hr playing with that!!! The Green Mountain Flyer Train also makes a stop there! The place is spotless clean, and very friendly. I can't recommend it enough. Definately a hidden gem!!!!

“We like it better than the Children's Museum in Boston”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2013

We have come to the Hanover-Lebanon area three times in the past two years, primarily to go to the Montshire. It's really a perfect little museum. The exhibits are educational, but well-designed to catch kids' interest. If you go in summer months, the outdoor water exhibit is especially fun.

All told, we have been to several children's museums (Boston, Chicago, etc.), and this is our favorite.
