“Restaurant is spectacular!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 February 2012

My husband and I enjoyed a night at the inn. The restaurant was spectacular! The quality of the food was very high and definitely reminded us of the quality we would find in France. The restaurant had a beautiful, rustic, cozy environment. The inn was charming, but the room was not the quality we would expect for $189 a night. It was fine but nothing extra. We have stayed in luxury for that price in other inns. But perhaps that is the price of staying near Woodstock. It is quite noisy in the room with the restaurant and kitchen below, if that is an issue for anyone. The breakfast was excellent though! We would definitely try staying elsewhere next time but go back to eat at the restaurant.

Thanks so much for your feedback - and we are glad you enjoyed your restaurant experience. We do regret that you did not feel that the Standard room you booked was luxurious enough. We would certainly want you to return and perhaps try one of our newly renovated Fireplace King Rooms or maybe a Deluxe King Room. Both styles of room are packed with great amenities like spa showers, jacuzzis, flat screen tvs, ipod docking stations and fireplaces - as well as robes and other nice 'stuff' found in the standard rooms.

We really would like you to return to the inn not only for dinner but for an overnight stay and experience everything the inn has to offer! Please feel free to call me (Jane Sandelman) directly at 802-263-9217 and we'll arrange for you to have a very luxurious experience!

My husband and I stayed one night this past January 8 and it was nothing short of perfect. We stayed in the Martin's Mill room, which was beautiful. The highlight of the trip, however, was our phenomenal dinner at the inn's restaurant. Never have we had such wonderful food and drink. It's a good thing we don't live closer, or I'd be asking my husband to take me here for every occasion!

We stayed here for July 4th weekend and we were not disappointed one bit. This is the type of place you should go to for a fantastic B&B experience in a terrific location. The place is just beautiful and peaceful - a nice mix of rustic and some modern. The restaurant staff is very nice and the folks who run this place are friendly, helpful and just really nice people. We had a package deal with lots of great goodies that made our trip more fun. Our room was clean and had character. The food is just as good as many top NYC spots - especially the lamb. Folks out there looking to run a B&B type of place, this is what you should model your place on. I would definitely come back again.

If you like rural Vermont, this place is for you. It's quiet, beautiful and low key, but has one of the best restaurants in Vermont -- or anywhere! The innkeepers are very friendly and welcoming, so will guide you to all of the local points of interest.

We stayed for three nights at the Inn at Weathersfield and can't say enough positive things about the consistently excellent food, accommodations, and service. Our room was well appointed but not stuffy, and our two boys were happy with their room too. The drive to Okemo mountain was easy (20 minutes) and it was so much nicer staying someplace away from the chaos of Ludlow in high season.

The Inn has been well maintained and even though our rooms were in the oldest parts of the building we never felt a draft. The real star of our stay, however, was the food. Extraordinary. We ate from both the tavern and the restaurant menus and between the four of us sampled both menus widely. The flavors were complex without being pretentious - a rare skill. The commitment to using local food sources artfully presented is beautifully executed. Can't wait to go back!

We stayed at the Inn at Weathersfield and had a wonderful time. Larger rooms than a B & B. Wonderful renowned chef so dinner at the Inn is a must. Breakfast was good but portions were small. Cozy room with a fireplace, coffee, tea, hot cider and cookies. Many games however, the only complaint was this room was only large enough for 6.

We bought the inn in October 2012. Since your visit, we've ushered in the next great chef at The Inn at Weathersfield. As a native Vermonter and son of a Parisian chef, Chef Jean-Luc was trained in California and before coming, split his career between Northern Vermont, Nantucket and France. Like us, he believes guests to Vermont deserve to eat larger portions than what's typically found on tasting menus. Without sacrificing quality and still sourcing from our farms, he creates delicious tasting menus that change weekly, a better a la carte menu and small tasting menu. We invite you to return and see all the changes and experience our cuisine.

Hot cider and cookies in the parlor are just what I need in the afternoon. Lovely old inn with an exceptional chef. Quiet, clean, and delicious. Breakfast is included and what breakfast choices, french toast, eggs, cereals, fresh pastries and fruit. The dinner menu is exceptional and the preparation is supurb and award winning. The meals are prepared with local meats and veggies. The Inn is just a short 16 mile drive to charming Woodstock, VT.
