We had huge expectations of the restaurant after reading all of the raved reviews so we decided to go there for a family Christmas dinner. The atmosphere was charming with intimate rooms and fireplaces throughout the establishment. The variety of choices on the menu were limited and it was also confusing with three different versions. The waitress was attentive but a tad too chummy with awkward responses. The appetizers came out quite quickly but we had to wait far too long for our entrees to arrive. When the entrees arrived, they were good but not great. Overall, it was way too expensive for what you received.

We apologize that you had a poor experience. This review was before we took ownership of the inn in Oct. 2012. It was also with the former chef. We've addressed portion size and menus to ensure that guests have options when they dine with us. We invite you to return and let us know what you think.

We had a ten course tasting menu down in the wine cellar. It was divine.

Service was top notch. Chef Jason appeared multiple times and we had a very creative presentation and menu selection. Of note, the menu is not set. Rather your preferences are made known and then the Chef proposes a menu for you.

Fresh is the theme. Mushrooms were handpicked that morning by the chef.

The 3 hours went by faster than you can imagine. The atmosphere was great as was the service. I hate to even recommend this as we want to go back and don't want you taking our reservation!

We made a last minute reservation here and it was a pleasant surprise. It was a nice atmosphere and everything seemed very fresh. They were very knowledgeable about the local farms and products. There were only a few entree options, which I believe is due to the fact that ingredients are very seasonal.
I had the tasting menu which was 4 courses and the perfect amount of food. The combinations were very interesting. We also had a wine from the local vineyard which we also loved.
The only thing was that the dinner did take a while, so I wouldn't go there if you were in a rush.

The food is local and elegant. We ate on the beautiful, large deck, enjoyed a fire in the built in pit, and watched mulititudes of dragonflies dart around the grounds. My husband and I loved our meals, cheese platter, and calamari appetizer. Portions were appropriate, seasonings were perfect, and the service was personal and attentive. Our kids, the world's pickiest eaters who prefer Annies Mac&Cheese over anything else, found some comfort in a hamburger, but really this dining experience is better placed with people who truly enjoy a culinary experience.
