Bromley Ski Resort is one of the oldest ski areas in the country. It didnt start out big and it isnt big by todays stabdards. Yet is is "BIG" in character and "BIG" in value. Anyone looking for a good time on the slopes should give Bromlry a try. Check out the historical facts while you are there or poke around online. It is truly a gem.

With the advent of the mega-condo, glitz and glamour resorts, true to the roots of Vt. skiing mountains such as Bromley are refreshing to find. I had not skied here since the mid 70's, and after this visit I am wondering why. This trip was for an afternoon half day on a Sunday. My friend and I were lured here by the half day rate,($32 for adults), which turned out to be one of the great deals skiing in quite some time. From the staff at the ticket window, to the information desk inside the lodge, to the lift attendants, there was a genuine unforced friendliness from each of the them that is often not found at the "bigger" mountains. Perhaps my review and visit were biased by the amazing snow conditions for the time of year (03/23/14), but the overall experience and laid back friendliness I found are probably a staple here. Those that crave the ultra steep, giant bumps, ultra sheik vibe should probably bypass Bromley. But for those looking for a smile on your face, friendly experience, where families can share their love for the sport without taking out a small loan, then Bromley should be on your list. Worth the two and a half hour trip from Central Ct: definitely!! Will we be back: Absolutely!!!

Bromley associates were quite helpful and cheerful. Grooming was well done given the melting conditions the day before followed by overnight freezing. Ticket prices are reasonable and terrain choices are better than average. It is also easy to navigate the mountain and a snowboarder has little need to unbuckle constantly as is the case with the big K.

The only downsides are that the outdoor ticket window can not process rentals, but that is not clear until after you stand in line and finally arrive at the window and a pretty inconvenient parking situation.

Amusingly, a very unhappy older woman from the "Peoples' Republic of Vermont" began berating my daughter and I for no reason other than the fact that we had NJ license plates... but that is no fault of Bromley's!

Kids Rule ski school. Instructors are so nice and welcoming. Someone was there to greet the kids and direct them onto the mountain. Ski rental experience great. Staff there very helpful and all smiles. Loved the wood burning fireplace in the lodge.

Always a good time at Bromley. Been skiing there for years with family. Great conditions. And the spring loaded 4 pack for $99 is a great deal.
