I had breakfast and lunch there this week & I would be remiss if I did not give a shout out to the cook.

The kale and egg scramble was killer. Eggs were cracked, great tasting & a healthy choice.

For lunch, I had smoked turkey, brie and farm stand plums on a baquette. What a sandwich and I'm from Philly where we know a thing or two about sammies!

Ladies working the front counter were efficient, pleasant and courteous.

Shop is so very Vertmont charming and chocked with stuff you need or will want to have once you see it.

Me gusta la tienda géneral!

This place is really awesome! After a long bike ride, we went in for some lunch and we weren't disappointed. They had ample options for vegetarians - salads, veggie wraps, veggie sandwiches. Delicious coffee, too.

Also a good place to pick up souvenirs and memorabilia or presents for the family and friends back home. Really loved this place - the atmosphere is perfect New England.

Thanks to the new ownership who used to be a head chef in a celebrated NYC restaurant, the menu has received a serious upgrade and is the star of the show. I look forward to their plans to open a restaurant in the back of the store and see the head chef's creativity fully unleashed.

Excellent eggs and friendly service, we were treated like locals for a fabulous midday meal. Great place to pick up provisions -- healthy and locally-made options and great beer and wine selection.

I ate at the General Store this last weekend and the food was DELICIOUS - I had an amazing turkey sandwich for lunch one day, and the maple french toast for breakfast the next day. I highly recommend both items
