Whatever you find, it’s probably a bargain. We pride ourselves on outlet prices, workshop-direct deals and frequent specials. Okay, Basketville in Putney, VT should be visited a least once. Even if you don't buy anything, it's worth the stop just to see the fantastic creations woven with wood and fibers. The lower part of the store is filled with all sorts of baskets from around the world (I wanted many of them). They also feature foods and drinks made right in Vermont. Upstairs are vast examples of woven furniture for indoors or outdoors. So comfy. They even had a sling chair that is hung from the ceiling (on my daughter's Christmas list). The really amazing items are the various beasts (leopards, lobsters, rhino, sharks, etc.) that are woven from various wood fibers. So creative. They even had a bike frame with woven elements.

I am not into baskets but loved the place. We attended the Wine Tasting. There are all fruit wines and very sweet if you like sweet wines. We did purchase a semi dry wine made from Rhuebarb that tasted very good. I also found a deck of cards with the Vermont map on them for my young Grandson who collects cards. The only place I seen them in. They also had jellies, maple syrup and many other items besides baskets. Nice place to stop and visit in.

beautiful baskets of all kinds, if you can't find what you are looking for at this location then it doesn't exist. Also an interesting fruit based wine tasting/vendor also co located. If we'd had a van I would have bought a lot more!
