This review is only about the outdoor deck dining that we enjoyed last week. Our Woodstock swim team had a meet at the Quechee Club pool and afterward, we could partake of a slightly discounted meal on the outside deck. The setting is terrific with great views over the club grounds, across the river and into some woods, etc. Our grandaughter and her team mates were happy with the choices available and our meals were quite good. The wait staff were fun and attentive, mostly young college age summer help. We enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich with copious amounts of pork; The sausage and pepper roll, good link with lots of onion and peppers on top; and a salad, nicely made and tasty. We also tried a Fiddlehead IPA draft, an Arnold Palmer and some lemonade. All in all, a nice evening supper after a hot day of competition around the pool.

Have done lunch a few times and always fine, nothing special. Nice views from the deck and wait staff are friendly, if not terribly efficient but we were never in a hurry so no big deal. Lots of lobster in the lobster rolls this year!

We sat on the deck overlooking the golf course on a lovely evening. Service was reasonably okay—the waitress did forget my soup (which turned out to be a blessing): a lobster salad topped with nicely seasoned avocado (an appetizer turned into a dinner) was excellent. Our friends variously had grilled fish and fish and home-made chips which they pronounced quite tasty and enjoyable. Blueberry cobbler was the special dessert—but it wasn't particularly special given its somewhat gluey texture and over-cooking of the blueberries. Despite the lapses, this place is giant steps better than it has been in past years.

Though the menu is very limited, there is enough to satisfy any discerning palette. As I enjoyed my risotto with fresh roasted seasonal vegetables, my husband sank his teeth into a 24 ounce piece of juice dripping prime rib. Each entree is served with a generous side salad and warm crunchy slices of French baguette. The service would rival any fine dining establishment. We look forward to returning to The Quechee Club on our next visit.

This is a membership club facility with two restaurants (casual bar/buffet and "finer" dining) for its membership that the public can also visit. The restaurants are only open on certain nights.

We have been many times over the years and always thought it was fine. its the kind of place you go to because its convenient after skiing/swimming/tennis etc., because you're there already but its not a place to go out of your way to patronize.

This impression was underscored when we were there over the December 2012 holiday week visiting family that are members. The restaurants are the kinds of places that get by on their captive membership who must spend a certain amount there on an annual basis. No effort is put into the food and it is average at best.

The more casual bar/ buffet had one of the worst buffet meals one night that we have had in a long time. The main was a chicken & biscuit stew with undercooked vegetables, tough chicken, and rancid biscuits. It was inedible. Sides included canned corn that had been mixed with diced bell peppers which they called succotash. Also inedible. Macaroni and cheese, rolls and a limited green salad offering were the only edible choices beyond cold French fries and chicken fingers for the younger set. Dessert was underbaked tasteless cookies and box mix brownies. The buffet was $22 per person. Staff consists of nice but hapless college students on break. I was only moved to write this review because I thought our experience was so incredibly poor I should warn unsuspecting potential customers. If you can deal with a short drive and are not stuck spending money there because of your membership, you would be much better off getting into your car and driving into Quechee or Woodstock for a meal.

Reviews that describe the view must be referring to the outdoor dining on the deck during warm summer months which only occurs on certain nights of the week. That view is fine, looking out over the parking lot and golf course. Otherwise, if you're not outside there is no view and the ambience of both restaurant areas could be best described as nondescript catering hall once you walk past the entry/fireplace area.

Generally, a better option for food is to hit the bar for a dink après ski or golf and then to move on. During peak holiday times there is live music at the bar, which can be fun. But again, unless things improve drastically, eat else where.
