I visited S.P. about 15 years ago and was pleased to return. The return to "normal" working conditions after Hurricane Irene is incredible. The pictures from that fateful day are well displayed, but not front & center, as should be. A visit to the hydropower turbine was very interesting & you can still see evidence of debris in the rafters. The craft of glass blowing/making is incredible. The workers were very friendly and very patient with the crowd, as I imagine they answer the same questions all day, every day. Watching the glass blowing process makes you really appreciate the pieces for sale upstairs..... The pieces are very expensive, but when you see how every item is hand made, it does make it more understandable.

Our family has been visiting here for years as a family. Four generations, and it is always fabulous- the food, atmosphere and glass blowing.
Thank you Pearce family!

After dozens of visits to Simon Pearce I finally was able to observe the glass blowers, quite interesting although the young guys there at the seemed a bit too hipster cool to talk with the crowd. You really had no idea exactly what they were doing except handling very hot glass.

We haven't been back since the flooding after Hurricane Irene in 2011. Things look back to normal and it is a unique place. You can see the glass being made downstairs and it is fascinating. Great location with waterfall and replaced covered bridges. It must have been quite a chore to clean everything up. Amazing the destruction that Irene did to central New England.

Very last minute we decided to stop by the Simon Pearce glass blowing. We do not regret visiting. The ' glassblowers' were very informative and open for any questions. Very cool to see how glass blowing is done. Cool view of the outside dam and generator.
