The restaurant is lovely, the service is very good, the food is fit for a foodie but the view of the river will keep you coming back. Be sure to come early and see the glass works, the art to blowing glass is amazing to say. We had the cheese tray which I loved the blue cheese and the beets salad was very good.

We were passing through at lunch time on a Monday afternoon. We put our name in and asked for a seat by the water- they said is would be about 20 minutes, it was exactly that. We were on the inside by the water, the 'outside' porch seemed to give closer exposure to the lovely falls. The service was excellent- very friendly, very much on top of everything, Lisa C was our server. We knew we had a big dinner coming so we had to eat light- salad and soup for one and salad customized with perfectly cooked salmon for the other. The Vermont cheddar soup was fantastic, the salads were great. Our only regret was not making this our 'big meal' of the day so that we had to restrict ourselves. No question we will be back hopefully for dinner. There are no lunch reservations, just for dinner. The great thing is while you are waiting for your table you can wander downstairs and watch glass being blown. There is also a large showroom of beautifully designed understated elegance of Simon Pearce tableware. Also a stroll down to the covered bridge is worth it for a better view of the falls.

it's hard to describe this in just a few words. the restaurant is part of a larger complex which needs to be explored. BUT, sticking to the restaurant, its attractive, lovely setting/views, good food and attentive service. a little touristy but one can get past that. enjoy!

We dined here twice for dinner. The setting is spectacular, especially on the outside porch overlooking the falls. If you are inside and fortunate enough to get a window table, then you can see the falls below, but the noise can be daunting from the hard surfaces that echo the noise of some of the very loud people that might be around you, if you are unlucky.
The food is very, very good quality and well presented. However, we were confused. Simon Pearce is known for its elegant but unadorned glass and crystal. The food is good, but
it's very busy with too much going on in terms of things on the plate and ingredients in each course. It seems that more is more in the cooking, which is quite different from the Simon Pearce philosophy, as we understand it.

The restaurant is located in the Simon Pearce glass factory - a part of the restaurant is cantilevered over the Ottauquechee River and has a view of the covered bridge just yards away. Table setting included Simon Pearce glass. The cheddar soup was worth the 20 minute wait (which gives you an opportunity to shop and watch the glassblowing). Also enjoyed the quiche - and the breads. Wonderful service and atmosphere. Don't miss it.
