We had lunch with foodie friends from Charleston and we were delighted by the ambiance, the table by the window and a charming and helpful waiter. Brian was up on his gluten knowledge! That aside, lunch was superb from drinks to dessert. We had both the tomato white bean and their famous Vermont cheddar cheese soups. Both were outstanding. Our entrees ranged from the lamb burger to the curried chicken salad, to the sesame chicken. All were way beyond delectable. Three of the group had the sorbet and ice cream. I am still in ecstasy over the Walnut Merengue with Strawberry Sauce. It was a perfect repast for a sunny summer day on the river.

The setting is very airy and open. The server was excellent and very engaging. We did not have any appetizers, save for a cup of the special Potato and Leek soup (which was fantastic), however everyone loved their entrees and the desserts.

It is not an inexpensive restaurant by any stretch but it was an excellent meal and I would definitely recommend it for a special occasion.

We had dinner at the Simon Pearce Restaurant in August. Our table was overlooking the waterfall--just wonderful. The food was excellent. Carrot soup was outstanding. The cod was excellent. Everything was very tasty and the service was great. It is pricey, but worth it for a very nice dinner.

We have been to Simon Pearce multiple times over the years. We have had only one problem and that was with the waitress getting our order mixed up. The food is consistent and the cheddar soup The Best. Always fun on a hot summer day watching the kids in the water in the falls below. The Glassblowers are amazing to watch.A great local restaurant.
