One can't beat the price for what you get. The breakfast is better than the usual motel fare. Their spice waffles that you make yourself were delicious, and the sausages very good. The oatmeal was good, and there were quite a few other choices.

I was hesitant about booking here because of previous comments about the need to refurbish. The clerk said they have been refurbishing for 6-7 years. Our king size bed room was nice. All worked well, it looked updated, and everything was quiet, including guests so we got a good nights sleep.
They are also going to move the 3rd floor breakfast area to the first floor after they add the area on. It is evident that the new owners are doing all they can to make this hotel top quality for a Comfort Inn.
Staff was friendly and professional, including the maintenance man. This pool was a delight, one of the warmest and closest to perfect that we have been in. Some hotels don't want to spend the extra for water that is warm enough to want to stay in, but this one does keep it warm. The hot tub was good also. We would return here for the pool and hot tub alone, and consider the good breakfast a bonus. The hours of 9:00 am to 9:30 pm for the pool we found were flexible. If one keeps the hot tub jet stream off so it does not wake patrons above it, you can swim earlier in the morning if you ask. We stayed in the pool longer than usual because of the warmth and a nice chat with a very pleasant couple from Illinois.
If you book during the fall leaf changes time, you might want to book a month or so ahead so that you have a room for the beautiful drives.

Room Tip: We always ask for a room away from ice machines, elevators and noisy exterior areas. Also as high a...

This is an older Comfort Inn with a small lobby, dining area on the 3rd floor, dark hallways with low ceilings, and parking located in the back away from the front desk. Our room had a King Bed and appeared to be in good condition. However, the bathroom was very small. You could not be at the sink and open the door. Otherwise everything else was okay. Breakfast was the normal Comfort Inn fare, but it was crowded in the dining area with a limited number of tables.

Our price would have been over $100 but there was a promotion for 30% off with a nonrefundable reservation that brought it down to $77. The normal price appears high for the value received compared to most Comfort Inns we have visited including taking into account the location.

This place needs some TLC. Our carpet was wrinkled. First time I've ever seen that in a hotel. Breakfast was average. The beds were too soft and seemed worn out. Our toilet blocked up and wouldn't flush. The vending machine on the second floor was out of sodas. They bill themselves as the "Friendliest Motel In Rutland" and they may be. But they are NOT the most clean, modern and pleasant in town. Try some where else.

We have stayed in a number of Comfort Inn's, but this is by far the worst one we have been in. There were stains and holes in the bedspread and sheets, cobwebs and torn carpet. The building was old and needed new carpeting in the hallways as well as brighter lighting. The parking lot was also dark. There was very little room for breakfast so some tables were put in the hallway. Internet was somewhat hard to get set up. The hotel was filled with several college soccer teams. Was overpriced for what we received.

The staff was very pleasant, breakfast was good & the location is convenient . I checked in mid evening & was shocked that there were a couple of mattresses propped against the hallway walls... great if they getting new mattresses but why leave the old in the hall overnight?Unfortunately, the room left alot to be desired. There were stains on the bedspread & on the rug, which was also rippled from age. I had very little sleep between a baffle noise from vent system & something that sounded like an ice machine cranking., There is great potential as it is a convenient location, nice building, friendly staff but it does need an overhaul.

Staff friendly and helpful. Room larger, more comfortable, breakfast definitely better than other chain stayed at on this trip. Advised being renovated, which is needed. Indoor pool looked good, but did not use. Breakfast lady charming and knowledgeable about area.

Stayed at hotel this past week for one night. Located in good area. The service we received was good. Breakfast staff was very good. Furniture in breakfast room was in horrible shape. Disappointed in our room. This hotel needs to be totally refurbished. Although bed was clean and bathroom was also clean, carpet needs to be totally done over. Stairways need new carpet. Even though room rate was good I would not stay here again until hotel gets a complete makeover. We have stayed at many Comfort Inns before but have never had this problem.
