First time,(definitely not the last)visiting this beautiful theater, we went to see comedian Brian Regan. Our seats overlooked the stage and we were able to see every facial expression this talented man could throw at the crowd. With an amazing up and coming venue for 2014 this is a must do, easy to find, worth the drive. The restoration is beautiful and almost transports you back in time.

My family and I went to see "Stomp" at the Paramount. The show was amazing. The theater is beautifully restored and small enough that there isn't a bad seat in the house. The seating is a little cramped like many old venues, but that's part of the charm. The staff was friendly. The show was great. The only negative is that the temperature was so hot inside that it was uncomfortable to sit through the entire show (this is February in Vermont . . . heat is good, but most people were dressed in winter attire and the heat was excessive). We were in the balcony seats, so maybe the heat was just rising from the lower levels and the main floor may be more comfortable. It's worth going there just to see the beauty of the restoration :-)

My wife and I enjoy going to the Paramount at least once a year. Makes for a perfect date.
the last concert that we attended was Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt. Great show! The last event that we went to was the Gift of Life Marathon. We did sponsor a seat for the grand opening many years ago. It was a good investment!

I saw Joe Bonamassa here, and if you didn't know his music already, you would have hated him. No nuance, no distinction between base or other instrument -- just noise. This is a guy who plays both acoustic and electric guitar with sensitivity; his vocals are powerful, and his backup is outstanding. Couldn't hear any of that in this venue - the amplification was ear-splitting for sure, but with no art. The seats are so small that even small people (short and skinny) were uncomfortable. Long-legged folks had to sit with their legs split otherwise they were smack up against the seat back in front of them.

The paramount folks have done a wonderful job of restoring the old building. It is so nice just to go in. It is not a real large theater, it holds around 800 people and the seating upstairs is a little tight for larger folks.
This year they put in a new sound system and offered free seating to watch the red sox play base ball.
