“Good Hike Great Views”
Review of Deer Leap Trail

Reviewed 20 July 2013

Absolutely a great hike especially from being from a flat land area such a great view and the weather of Vermont is just the icing on the cake I will definitely go back some day.

Hiked this after 5 inches of rain in the previous few days and it was not too bad. Side stepped a bit but was not much trouble. Trail is well marked and easily navigated. We are 60 years old and not in great shape but made it to the top to enjoy the view.

I've lost count of the times I have climbed Deer Leap with family and friends. The climb is short and a bit challenging but the reward when you reach the top is worth the effort. Huge rocks at the summit invite you to sit and enjoy the magnificent views in every direction. "On a clear day you can see forever." Parking in available across the street from the trailhead and the Long Trail McGrath's Pub awaits when you return. A must do when you are in the Rutland area.
