“OMG !!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2012

It is all true!! Excellent subs and sandwiches on fresh baked rolls. The line was long but moved fast. While waiting I asked two repeat customers ahead of me for their suggestions. The hot Italian was excellent and loaded with meat, cheese, cabbage, pickle and tomato. Don't forget to pick up some cookies for dessert - tried several all were yummy - chocolate macaroon, oatmeal chocolate bar, raspberry filled sugar cookie, forget it - all were delicious and fresh baked. All the staff were great too – it’s a busy place but everyone had a smile. Only one catch: they only accept cash…no plastic

“Great Grinders at great price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 April 2012

Yes, the line was long but the 6 or 7 people putting the sandwiches together worked hard and fast. Well worth the wait. Huge sandwiches, hugh contents. We all had their special hot ham with cheese, cabbage, tomato, etc. Unbelieveable low prices for what you get. Unfortunately the sign posted showed "no crabmeat today". Perhaps before our business trip is over we will get back there again. Good experience. We took the sandwiches "to go".

“Best Grinders Around”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 April 2012

A long time, family owned, staple for the area. Call your order ahead, or wait and talk with all the local teens on shift. Great variety, great price. Awesome sides!

“Rutland's Pride”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2012

Gills offers very simple subs, but pulls them off time and time again. The line can been long at times, but they work quickly and have several sandwich makers at all times. They offer a maine crabmeat option, which is really tasty and light. You should order the cabbage on your sub, since that's their signature offering and it adds a nice crispness to the crabmeat sub. They have a toasted turkey, bacon, & swiss that is very good (get leaf lettuce on this - after toasting of course).

Enjoy!
