Tim's is on Route 2, but set back a bit from the road. Unassuming, but great food. I was looking for a quick lunch and found a great soup and sandwich meal at a very good price. The locals love it, always a good sign.

When you are in The Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and hunger pangs strike, be sure to fill up on local fare at Tim's Deli, especially on a Friday or Saturday when he is frying haddock and fries for around $6 at lunch or all you can eat for around $11!!!! Not a fish lover? Have a bowl of homemade soup and half a sandwich with your choice of filling and all the fixings. Too bad he is closed on Sundays and Mondays, but Tim and his crew work long days making platters and catering family and business events. It is a "wee diner" tucked away in a corner by one of our few traffic lights in Saint Johnsbury, but locals know where to stop even if the light were not there!!!

When we go for breakfast, my wife and I share an omelet with everything in it. What goes into the omelet varies depending on what is available on the day you visit, but they are always delicious and huge. That is why we share. We also like to go for lunch on occasion. The sandwiches are delicious.
