This motor inn is right on the road, so rooms are exposed to noise and suffer from a lack of privacy. Because the rooms open directly onto the parking lot, I felt very vulnerable. The bathroom was very clean and recently updated. Everything else was original, or looked as if it dated back to the 60s. The mattresses and bedding were very old, the box springs were exposed (no sheet covered its old frame) dirty and fraying, with holes at the corners. There were rooms in back of ours, visible through the bathroom window. They looked newer, and may or may not have been part of the motor inn. It's presentation would improve if the front were torn down.

Room Tip: Find a different hotel.

We only stayed here one night based upon TA reviews and they were correct. It is a really nice motel. The room was quiet, it was large, it had a refrigerator, a nice flat screen TV, and the shower was very good. It was very clean.

They gave us a voucher for a free continental breakfast at the Windmill Restaurant next door but we didn't use it as we prefer to have a full breakfast.

You are basically across the street from the Shelburne Museum, and maybe a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Burlington.

i would stay here again on my next trip to the Burlington area.

Room Tip: We had one of the rooms in the back and it was quiet there even though you are on Rt. 7.

Typical hotel room. Exceptionally clean and convenient to the museum. They don't have their own breakfast but give you a coupon for a continental breadfast next door.
They also have a great $5 off coupon for the museum.

We stayed here on our second night in Burlington after spending the first night at one of the town's incredibly bad competitors. We literally paid half the price for three times the quality. Should have been at the T-Bird both nights. It was the cleanest motel I've ever stayed in, with a nice big room, plenty of pillows, and a very sweet proprietor. Our room was on the back side of the property, so it was very quiet and peaceful. I've stayed in luxury hotels that weren't as pristine and comfortable. When I went to leave a tip for the maid in the provided envelope, I noticed that previous customers had also tucked plenty of cash in there; when people leave a housekeeping tip at a roadside motel, that really says something.

We stayed at the T-Bird on our way back from Quebec City while waiting to catch a flight at BTV. After a week in Canada it was a treat to stay in this spotlessly maintained little motel. From the comfortable beds to the flat screen TV on the wall, to the overall spotless condition of the hotel. The breakfast was a throw-in that was next door and adequate. For a little more money you could turn it into a full meal. The wireless was good and the staff friendly. Plenty of restaurants nearby and only 6 miles to Burlington Center (no big deal on that). You can't go wrong here.

If I was to rate this property solely on the cleanliness and friendly staff it would be a full 5 stars. The rooms are among the cleanest I have ever been in, and I will add here that I have traveled across the US, visited about 40 states, slept in at least 25 different states and stayed in several 5 star hotels. The setting for this motel/motor inn is peaceful with lots of space to relax with your family.

The room we stayed in was large even with two queen beds in it. The bath was roomy, too, with a full tub/shower. There was a nice big flat screen TV with lots of channel choices for TV junkies, and large windows for view and ventilation. The in wall AC/heat unit could have been a little better, but it worked and got the job done. A small in room fridge was a nice touch and helps keep the ice needs down for our cooler in the summer.

Now, about the one negative to the room... The mattresses! They are what I would describe as extra firm. Not a problem with me, but the extra firm pillows to match were a bit much to take.

The rates we paid were a bargain for the area, from what I could tell anyhow. The room was as stated super clean, the staff very friendly, and over all if I was to travel to this area again I would not hesitate to stay here, or recommend it to family and friends... But a word to the wise... Bring your own pillows!

Room Tip: The property has two buildings. We stayed in the back building far from the road, we never heard roa...

Spent two nights at this classic, but updated old school style motel - booked rooms here based on the reviews on this site, and was not disappointed.

Arrived a bit early, but they were just finishing cleaning my room (one facing the back, very quiet), and the maids couldn't have been nicer about it. As one of them finished up, she even wiped the molding on the OUTSIDE of the door - at what hotel do you see that kind of detail, ever?

Room was very nicely appointed, comfortable bed, HD flat screen tv, spotless and updated bathroom, windows that open, and plenty of room.

A continental breakfast is included at the Dutch Mill next door, but you can upgrade to a full breakfast for a nominal charge, and I found the restaurant to be a classic step back in time, and the food quite good. It is advisable to get over there early as the place is small and fills up quickly with locals and visitors.

You also receive a $5 discount for the Shelburne Museum, and that was very welcome. Spent a full day at the museum and brought back many memories of childhood visits.

In short, this was one of the nicest hotel experiences I've had in a long time, and can not recommend this establishment enough. Clean rooms, updated amenities, and a price that can't be beat.

I

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back if possible to avoid road noise.
