My wife and I chose this place to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. I was the best place we have stayed at for any trip to any place. Julie and Dave Lane, the owners, have thought of everything. The restored 1820’s farm house has “warmth” that can’t be had by any modern hotel or motel. It was well worth the 400 mile drive to get there from our home in eastern PA. The breakfasts were all home made, delicious, filling and needing nothing as they were the perfect start of a day. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The Snow Hill Vineyard, also owned and operated by the Lanes produce a variety of fine wines and is just a short walk up the road. We chose this place for some needed R&R and peace and quiet. We chose well! When you want to know what a B&B should be, stay here!

Room Tip: They are all good. But, my wife has a slight dissability so we chose the first floor room. No unfamiliar steps.

Very relaxing location with excellent water access. Friendly proprietors who strive to make you feel welcome and comfortable. We incorporated a stay here on a 6 day bike tour and found this location very accomodating for everything we needed. If you are looking for a relaxing, country get away this is a highly recommended spot.

We stayed in the Winery room and it was perfect. We had a wonderful night's sleep as the bed is very comfortable. The size of the room and washroom is excellent. I loved hearing the history of the farm house and the farm and looking at the renovation pictures. We stayed with another couple for 2 nights and used this B&B as a base while we cycled around the island. The best part was going for a swim after the day's ride and relaxing on the covered porch with a glass of wine. The hosts are fantastic people who are extremely hard working people. They ensure that the guests and all their animals (pigs, horse, cat, dog, llamas) are well taken care of. Breakfast is yummy too as it showcases their maple syrup. The scones are awesome! Great place!

We stayed here one night as part of a driving holiday around the US. South Hero is a farming community on an island in Lake Champlaign and the location of Crescent Bay Farm is just superb - its wonderfully quiet and the scenery is beautiful. If you're expecting a hotel experience then this place is not for you but if you want to stay in a well loved home with real character and a lot of history then you should stay here. We stayed in the garden room and had a great nights sleep. The shower was good. The breakfast was good - completed with some great homemade scones. The price was also very good compared to some of the places we stayed at on our trip.

There is a winery within walking distance - we didnt go so cant offer any opinion on it. We did go the the Sunset Drive In Movie Theatre though which was a 30 min drive away and well worth the trip.
