My husband and I spent 4 nights in suite # 144 with fireplace/Jacuzzi tub and walk out back porch. Our stay was amazing...clean, comfortable, and cozy. The staff were very nice and our reservation included a delicious breakfast each morning...a great way to start the day. We rented bikes and rode on the nearby bike path - loved it. The resort is a short walk to Stowe Village for shopping and dining. We also drove towards Smugglers Notch and enjoyed the breathtaking views. The Resort has both indoor and outdoor pools, horseshoes and shuffle board...tea and cookies are served in the lobby late afternoon. The grounds are meticulously maintained and their flowers are gorgeous. We plan on coming back again for another memorable vacation. A+

Room Tip: Suites in the north wing are extremely private.

Our family has been staying at The Golden Eagle Resort for the past 27 years. We have an antique auto and we meet up with all our friends to attend the Antique Auto Show the second week of August every year. We all stay at the resort. The rooms are cozy and clean, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Our room is 101, which is in the front and on the end and it is very quiet. We would never think of staying anywhere else.

Room Tip: We have stayed in different rooms over the past 27 years and every room has been clean, quiet, roomy, and cozzy.

We love having our Antique Car owners here every August! It's like a reunion for our long term guests, and our new guests love to see all the old cars and talk with the owners. And, of course, there is no better viewing for the parade!

Thanks for your comments and we'll look forward to seeing you next summer if not sooner!

We just returned from a five night stay with our three grandsons at Golden Eagle and it was absolutely fabulous. We have traveled all over with them since they were little and as they have grown so have their interests. We stayed in what was called a two unit suite. One room had a kitchenette, separate bedroom, fireplace with a living area with pullout sofa which was a perfect arrangement for our three grandsons while we adjoined them next door in a room with our own separate bath giving them some privacy yet allowing us to be nearby for supervision if needed. They absolutely loved the game room with pool table, ping pong table, as well as other games, two pools (in and outside), tennis courts, shuffle board and horseshoes yet in a quiet location but near all the activities. With a cinema across the street, the recreation trail and a number of restaurants, three within walking distance that we frequented as well as the hotel's cafe, it fit our needs perfectly. With ziplining, disc golf and miniature golf all near by they thought it was one of the best places we have stayed with them and we did too. While some have stated the resort is dated, for us it had that charm of many bed and breakfast places we have frequented and we loved it. There were also many little amenities and extra touches we found most appealing, i.e. a beautiful locker room complete with hairdryers and even a roll of plastic bags for those wet swimsuits. In the bathrooms of the suites were great secured shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers that were of a most abundant size....not the little tiny ones found in the more "modern" facilities some have commented on. All the staff we encountered from the front desk to room service were wonderful people and very accommodating. As I write this I am awaiting the return of a phone charger that we inadvertently left there. It is being mailed back to us. This is a great place for anyone traveling with teenagers or young children as well as those older folks as the quietness is wonderful. We definitely plan to return in the future.

Room Tip: We found the rooms 122 and 126 definitely quiet and being on the ground floor most welcome to these grandparents. We did not find any problems with the AC.

nice place. will stay again next time im in the area. Staff was helpful, friendly, and even alittle flexible when it comes to rules. We were very happy with our stay, albeit we spent most of our weekend on the town, we did enjoy the outdoor pool and some other amenities that were very nice.
