Stayed at the Top Notch for a relaxing long weekend. The scenery is beautiful . What we really enjoyed most: the outdoor pools since the weather was very warm.. and were glad to see there was a pool for 'Adults only' as there were quite a few children this weekend. We also enjoyed the indoor/pool/hot tub in the evening. The SPA and services were excellent. They have a great workout facility with a separate rooms for weights, cardio, and yoga. The food was very good/we ate outdoors for most meals. There is a very nice and scenic 5 mile trail for jogging/biking into the town center...and Top Notch will shuttle you back to the hotel which was a nice touch. Bike rentals right at the bottom of the driveway.

I had read a few negative reviews about their service. Our service was outstanding! Everyone went above and beyond to accommodate. The small touches of bringing milk to our room for the coffee maker, the pool servers, free bottles of water whenever needed, and actually offering another room if we needed when we mentioned our neighbors had an infant who was crying (we didn't end up needing it) .. all in all, a fabulous trip..we will return next year for sure

Our ONLY negative comment is the walls are a bit thin...then again this is not a brand new resort, but one that is very cozy with great amenities and service.

My partner and I visited Topnotch in preparation for a future VT wedding. We were so well taken care of by the staff and enjoyed all the Topnotch amenities. We were so happy with the hotel and staff we are going to have our wedding at Topnotch. We had looked at approximately 7 other options, but chose Topnotch because of their service. The restaurant is excellent and the spa is incredible.

My (then) new husband booked us a few days here after staying at a local cabin on our honeymoon. Everyone who worked there was beyond amazing, friendly, and helpful. I wish I could give more than a 5 rating for service, seriously. There is great downhill skiing, of course, but we also there was a wonderful low key cross country trail right across the street. The spa at Topnotch was also fantastic, and I could not say enough about the food! Their maple barbecue chicken wings were to die for, and everything on their menu was really delicious and high quality. Hopefully we will be able to make it back for another trip this winter!

We stayed for three nights in January with our very spoiled dog Kasey. First of all for dog lovers, this is one of the nicest places we have stayed. The room was clean, well decorated, spacious and perfectly placed for periodic walks. The employees were exceptionally nice and welcoming to our dog and us, too!

This hotel and Stowe, in general, are great places to visit with your dog. Across the street from the hotel is the Stowe recreation path that was wonderful to snowshoe and cross country ski with Kasey. We also enjoyed a horse drawn sleigh ride in the woods and across the snow covered meadows.

We only ate breakfasts at the hotel which were a bit pricey but freshly made with local ingredients. I should also note that the hotel spa is excellent. We had massages and I enjoyed one of the best facials I've had. The indoor pool area was relaxing and also very well maintained.

We also appreciated the size of this resort...not too large as often is the case when the amenities are of this caliber.

I stayed at Top Notch with three girlfriends on April 11-12th for a must-needed retreat from our daily stresses. It was just the right tonic! My siter-in-law called it "big girl camp". It was and it was perfect! We loved moving from hot tub to hot tub (sometimes taking a dip in the pools), lounging around in our fluffy white robes and slippers, eating s'mores next to the campfire, and watching funny chick flicks in our comfy room. The bed and bedding were so comfortable- we slept so-o-o-o well. At Top Notch, it's all in the details. It feels as if they've thought of absolutely everything, but even if you can think of something they haven't, they'll happily accommodate your needs. It really is a delight for the senses- the scents, sounds, tastes, sights, and even if you don't book a spa treatment, you'll still feel great from all the hot tubs, sauna, steam room, special showers, and body temperature pools. The staff were wonderful, always friendly and welcoming. As a Vermonter, I've stayed at other Vermont resorts for a quick getaway. Usually, we're sorely disappointed, as it seems Vermont accommodations are over-priced and over-rated. Not this time! We can't wait to go back; it will definitely be our go-to local getaway!
