This is a very good place to stay. The renovations done in the hotel are good though the carpet in the rooms are not updated and a little dirty. THE WI-FI DOES NOT WORK ANYWHERE BUT LOBBY.

The swimming pool was very clean and heated and the water felt great. they also couple outside sitting area which is very nice. They offered cycles for free to go on the trails.

The best thing is the People working there are super super nice and you will never have any problems with cancellation or changes even at last minute.

The location is right next to the village and to the rec. bike path. Mount mansfield auto toll road is only a few miles from it and it everything you want for food is close by

Give it a chance.

We stayed at this hotel while at a lacrosse tournament. The lobby of the hotel is really nice. The rooms could use an update. They were very hot. The AC unit was in the bathroom which didn't help. The staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast was good. The location is perfect with a walking/bike trail across the street.

My family has been visiting the Mountain Road for over ten years. The current management is working hard to update and improve the whole place. Great updates have been made. We enjoy the setting and the staff. Very comfortable to just sit on the deck or by the pool and enjoy the mountains. Also close to the rec path and restaurants. Hope to visit agin in the fall.

Room Tip: Pets are allowed. Some rooms have fireplaces and small kitchen areas. There are also two story, mult...

We stayed for the 4th of July weekend (unit 28). The location of this hotel is great, and the furniture is all brand new and modern. But the rooms themselves have not been updated. Luckily for us the weekend was not too hot, because the air conditioner at the back of the unit did not work well at all. The sinks in the unit leaked. The shower made a loud squealing noise randomly. Breakfast was offered free each day, but was really basic (bread, cold cereal, drinks). There is a nice pool, but we did not get a chance to use it. This hotel might be good for a winter resort, but for a summer resort, it was over priced, so we will probably not stay here again. Wifi was free, but it did not really work ib the room (we had to go outside to get it to work)

Room Tip: There are 2 buildings. The building on the left is one floor. The building on the right has 2 floors...

My husband and I spent a weekend in Stowe, and were very happy with our stay at The Mountain Road resort. The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. The room was very spacious and clean, and the pool and spa were great. The location is fabulous. Within walking distance to restaurants, bars, and shops, as well as the bikepath. For the price, it's really one of the best of Stowe. We'll definitely be back.

Can not say enough for the staff. They are friendly, accommodating and very helpful. Always going the extra step. The resort is absolutely clean and beautiful. We had my nephew's wedding and were there a long weekend. There was absolutely not one bump. Gabby was wonderful. A few people from our large party had a couple charges that were not correct, but with a simple phone call and friendly staff, all was rectified....Worth every minute there. What a resort to visit....Can't wait to return to this slice of heaven in Vermont. Thanks to all that made my stay wonderful.....to many staff members to list, from the room service departments to front desk to pool and valet.....Enjoy

Room Tip: If there is a need to save money somewhere, get a room with a kitchen. Everything you need is there...

This hotel is a good place to stay for the price. (Just a reminder, this review was done in the middle of April and ski season was nearly over.) Open for breakfast at 8 am. Coffee, tea, juice, toast, yogurt and granola. More than adequate for most people. In the afternoon the outdoor hot tub was relaxing. In the evening the large indoor hot tub was also relaxing as well as the sauna and pool. The pool area indoor hot tub was not filled the first night which was a disappointment but not a deal breaker. The person at the desk sincerely apologized and credited us back some for the room which is expected but sometimes does not happen at some other hotels. The person working on the problem failed to notify the desk that it would be out until the next day. At least we knew it was cleaned. The lobby and indoor pool is closed and locked around 8pm. Mansfield room was large with a wetbar, small fridge/freezer, flat screen tv, fireplace and a jetted tub in the large bathroom. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The lobby and indoor pool is closed and locked around 8pm. Convenient to many restaurants and about 10 minutes drive to the mountain parking lot. Overall a very good stay. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: The Mansfield room is one of the larger ones and is a few steps outside your door to the building wi...
