“Easy Hike”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 October 2013

The hike along the gorge is a nice little hike, and it's not too difficult. Be informed though that there is limited parking, and you have to drive on a pretty long, very bumpy dirt road to get to it.

worth while stopping to see. a nice leisurely hike and we were able to make some beautiful pictures. Definitely would want to hold your childs hand if you are viewing the gorge. Many warning signs posted about this. Great information posted along the trail of various sites

“Beautiful”

Beautiful hiking area that is not too strenuous or too long. Great for kids, but keep an eye on them as some of the drop offs are quite steep.

“Beautiful Hike Through a Gorgeous Gorge.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 September 2013

Although the parking is limited, this is an ideal spot for a short hike to a spectacular gorge. The path winds through woods and in spots you need to be careful of roots and the edge of the cliff. Bring a picnic as there is a table at the end of the path. Along the route there are signs explaining the geological aspects of the area which are very informative. You can walk above the gorge and find remains of old mills that once took advantage of the stream.

“It's also called Sterling Brook Gorge”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 September 2013

I made a map so you can find it (along with two others falls nearby):

http://goo.gl/maps/Ocu21

Great place for a fieldtrip and/or picnic. Cross over a small bridge from the parking area and enter the self-guided interpretative trail on the left. This is a very informative (and well-maintained) trail! The one pool we enterd was a difficult climb down and not for the faint of heart. The trail ends at a flat area of the brook and there's a picnic table there!
The trail is not strenuous.

here's a video of my son in one of the pools:
