My husband and I went to the Matterhorn on a recent Saturday night to check out the night life. We ordered our second beer (the first one was great, but we decided to go for something different) for the night and decided to try a local brew, but they were out so the bartender offered another similar beer. On the first sip, it was obvious this beer was rancid! My husband immediately brought it back and I explained that it tasted bad. We ordered a different beer and the bartender charged us for it! I protested, but the bartender said he did not tell us to order that other beer (although he did suggest it) so why should he give us a break. I tried to explain that it was not that we did not like it, it was actually rancid, but he would not even listen. He said something about times being tough. He was so rude I could not believe it. I mean if I ordered a glass of milk from a restaurant and it was sour, would they charge me for another? The only reason we stayed was because the band (Conscious Roots) was so great. However, I would hesitate to return after how rude the bartender was to us.
