“Flying visit, yummy Black Forest desert”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

Stopped here on a flying work visit and bumped into an actual Von Trapp.
Tried the local beer and had a lovely HUGE slice of Black Forest cake, yummy!
There was a variety of tasty looking treats for anyone with a sweet tooth ... in fact too much choice.
The local Trapp beers were amazing and our group loved them - as I don't drink beer, I had a soft drink.
A wonderful addition to anyone's itinerary

“Best Reuben sandwich!”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Nothing fancy, you order at the counter - but great food! Try the Reuben with traditional potato salad - yum!

“Not the type of Baked goods I was expecting. Brewery was great.”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

My husband and I walked down for breakfast. We happened to get to the bakery a couple of minutes after 10am only to find they stopped serving breakfast at 10am and that they didnt start serving lunch until 11am. Being from the tri state area I was surprised that they stuck to the 10am cut off for breakfast (especially given that it was only 10:04) and that there was an hour where we couldn't get food. We didnt get any of thier bakery goods because they were mostly cakes. We had expected pastries and croissants and the like based on what is offered at bakeries by us. This by no means made the experience bad, just not what we were expecting. We did go back later to get a flight of the Von Trapp beers and we got to sit outside, enjoy the view and watch the pigs playing in the mud in the distance. The baked good we tried at dinner from the bakery were quite good.

“Vermont Beer Tour -- a must stop for the view!”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

I was worried getting there because our GPS had go down a mud road (yes, we followed the GPS not the clearly marked signs!) We walked around the lodge, and then found the brewery. It was also a bakery, and we watched the pastry chefs make beautiful desserts. The beer was good, but the view was breathtaking. It was worth the stop just for the view! We will go back again, and take friends/family there.
