We stayed in the Timberline studio for four nights, loved it and decided to stay and extra night. The same room was not available but the staff gave us a two bedroom suite that was exceptional. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly and make you feel at home here. Make sure to try solstice for breakfast and hourglass for a casual evening dinner and drink. We will definitely stay there again.

I was proud to hear about the Stowe Mountain Lodge team surpassed your expectations when deciding to stay another night. This is exactly what we look to do to enhance the guest experience and provide a home away from home. It’s no wonder why so many of our guests decide to become home owners and repeat that feeling time after time.
We look forward to seeing you again soon.

The location and the facilities are excellent; clean, modern, and attractive. Though it is the staff that makes this place exceptional. Bell services were very good, plus the knew the area intimately.

We expected a great experience as it is listed in the AMEX Fine Hotels and Resorts. We declined the complimentary upgrade from the Alpine Suite we booked as the front desk confirmed that it had the best view. Unfortunately, we didn't use our deck as the guests next door were chain smoking on their deck from the time we arrived through the night.

The service at the bar is inconsistent. Great experience in the afternoon as we waited for our room but terrible later in the evening. The bartender was either disinterested or annoyed that we decided to eat dinner at the bar instead of at a table. He spent most of the time at the end of the bar oblivious that he was blocking our view of the TV. We purposely moved to that location to gain a better view of the PGA round.

The pool was equally disappointing as it was full of unsupervised children. Not the hotel's fault but definitely something to consider if you are looking for a more relaxing experience.

Finally, we were disappointed that the majority of staff members weren't very friendly and appeared to just go through the motions.

We decided to leave a day earlier than planned as we knew that we'd have a better time at our favorite restaurant back home to celebrate my husband's birthday.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your recent experience. I was concerned to hear about your observations and disappointed not to have had the opportunity to resolve them before your departure.

We are a non-smoking hotel and are happy to communicate to those guests who smoke where they can enjoy.

I have communicated your concerns with the Food & Beverage team who are sharing your experience in a training environment.

Additionally, our environment offers a variety of activity for both families and guests who wish to enjoy a quiet getaway. Our Alpine Concierge is always available to fine-tune one’s visit to offer unforgettable experiences.

Please feel free to reach out to me directly with any additional questions or concerns as we wish to make this right.

This is an absolutely beautiful property. Service is top notch, rooms beautiful. Pick the timberline if you can. Wonderful breakfast at the upper restaurant. Clean, well kept rooms. No chips in furniture, or dirt in corners etc. Pool area is very nice. The nights here are very dark and quiet (at least in the summer) which we enjoyed. We felt like we were way up in the mountains somewhere. Stowe is a beautiful area, a moratorium on commercialization restricts unwanted town growth.

The cons: some of the guest have their nose high in the air, which tends to cool things a little. No fault of the hotel, just a sign of the times.

I came to Stowe Mountain Lodge for a business conference. My first time to Vermont. I was completely amazed.. The gorgeous rolling green mountains, wild flowers, the smell of clean mountain air. I forgot how much I had missed the mountains.

The staff were incredible. Front desk. Concierge. Restaurant. Conference Support. Unbelievably friendly and went out of their way to take care of us.

My room was amazing. The bed was sooo comfortable.. The sheets like silk. I slept with the screen door open. Stunning mountain view! The bathroom enormous with nice marble and separate tub.

Nice retreat while working! I want to bring my family for a reunion! I hear they do hiking, horseback riding, and they had a gorgeous pool! ❤️

The rooms here are cozy, not only in their size and decor, but the sheets are AMAZING (and if you like them they're available for purchase in the gift shop!)

The staff are kind and willing to help from the moment you step foot out of your car. They are quick to respond to any request, with a smile!
The views from all around the property are amazing. The decks have enough privacy to make it feel like you're not at a large hotel.

The ball rooms are large, the food is great.

Room Tip: Ask to be past the pool and looking at the mountain! Longer walk to reception, but worth it

This is a great property, and what you would expect for a high end resort. They are expanding the facilities with an extensive project underway. You will want to avoid a ridge line view, unless you don't mind looking at a construction sight. Expect families, corporate events and conferences.
