“Don't miss it”
Reviewed 5 August 2013

This Woodstock area B&B is a bit off the beaten path - a few miles east of Woodstock and up out of the way on a hillside. The views from the inn are just classic Vermont - rolling hills, woods, river and pasture. The inn is new and spotless and the rooms are large and well appointed. The common areas are just as good, with the best part being a very large deck, perfect for reading, visiting, meeting other guests or just taking in the commanding view. The host was very engaging and was genuinely interested in making sure every aspect of our stay suited us. Breakfast was really, really good: a delicious cinnamon-apple bread pudding with potatoes au gratin and ham, served with fresh fruit and juice. Delicious and satisfying. Overall a pleasant and memorable stay.

Room Tip: our room (empire) did not have curtains or shades, so be prepared to be greeted by the sun

My Husband and I just returned from two nights at the Apple Hill Inn. The Inn is absolutely beautiful. It is a newer Inn with gorgeous antiques throughout. Our room was a new upstairs room which was very large, comfortable and immaculate. Beverly, the owner, was the most gracious host and our conversations were so enjoyable, it made it hard to leave. The breakfasts both days were delicious. We have already decided to go back in the fall and we can't wait.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Heirloom Room, which is an upstairs newer room. It was a gorgeous, large room, lar...

If you are looking for that special New England charm, absolutely beautiful vistas, hand picked antique furniture, immaculate clean rooms that welcome you with great comfort and an inn owner that is one hot ticket who truly cares about your stay then the Apple Hill Inn is your place to go. I cant say enough about this fantastic Inn. This is truly one you need to experience yourself. Don't miss this one, Beverlee herself is worth the trip !

I had the pleasure of spending two nights at the Apple Hill Inn last weekend. The location is just beautiful, the room was clean, comfortable, and warm and cozy. The owner and inn-keeper, Bev, made the stay even better with the delicious and hearty country breakfasts. I feel lucky to have had the pleasure of staying there for two nights and can't wait to go back!

Our experience at the Apple Hill Inn was just perfect! From the owner's friendliness and hospitality, to the immaculate yet welcoming rooms, we couldn't have asked for anything more! The location was just a short drive to Woodstock, and the inn itself was on top of a hill with a great view of the valley below. Even when we went (early November) when all the leaves had already fallen, the view was still breathtaking. Our room (the Heirloom room) was so spacious and beautiful, and it had a great view of the valley that could be seen while lying in bed. We went with two other couples, and we all really enjoyed our evening hanging out in one of the common rooms with the fireplace keeping us warm. The breakfast was so delicious, and it was clear that Beverlee put a lot of effort in to making sure we had delicious food! To top it all off, her dog (Ginger) was so friendly and loving, and just wanted belly rubs all the time. She's a labradoodle, so she's hypoallergenic (so no need to worry about being allergic to her). It was great since we LOVE dogs.

So if you're looking for a great country getaway in Vermont where you will feel loved and well cared for, don't look anywhere else but here!

Room Tip: The Heirloom Room was the biggest and had amazing views that can be seen while lying in bed

"A trip to New England" was my 50th birthday's request. Apple Hill was our last stop before heading to Boston's Airport and fly back home, and what a finale it was...
We stayed at some lovely, beautiful, enjoyable B&B during our trip but Apple Hill in Taftsville near Woodstock was without any doubt the best.
The house is enchanting: capacious, lit carefully designed and yet it hugs you with a warm, homey feeling. Our room was delightful, spacious and extremely clean. The furniture where so beautiful, so thoughtfully assembled that we actually found it difficult to leave the room. From the large antique bed with its bright white quality linens, to the cozy reading corners and the fireplace (I can go on and on...)
The place is surrounded by breathtaking mountain and meadows view, and the foliage? what a sight...
Breakfast was amazing: each morning we woke up to the scent of freshly baked, cooked, poach homemade pancakes , muffins, rolls, eggs, fruits - all set and served in wonderful old china dishes.
The only that tops it all was Beverlee's (the owner and innkeeper) warm, personal, caring hospitality.
Don't even look for another place you won't find a better one.

Ditto to all the other reviews. The experience was positive for my husband and myself. Beverlee and Andy have a wonderful home which they share in a family-like setting. We had plenty of privacy, but it also felt like being at home with a new-found family with the Cooks and other fellow travelers! A bonus is Beverlee's loving energy. Will remember this B&B with "life-saver love".
