We had a wonderful two night stay at The Inn. The breakfast was delicious, snacks were yummy, and the staff was professional, kind and helpful. In addition to the Inn's perfection, the weather was sunny and cool...just perfect. The trees were ablaze with color. Our visit to Vermont and The Inn was awesome.

This was as close to perfect as a place could be for what we were looking for. Out in the lovely countryside, but close to the little and beautiful towns of Vermont. Enjoyed the serene acreage surrounding. Also attached was a round barn made into a cultural location and attraction. One of the few round barns left, this one has been redone, and was presently housing an upscale art show. The show and the tours were free, and nowhere else have we seen a barn like this. It even houses symphony orchestras, and very upscale weddings. Really a perfect place for these kinds of events, but hard to believe until you have toured it.
The B & B was so gorgeous and service was impeccable. Breakfasts were 3 course with fresh flowers on the tables. Fresh apple cider squeezed from their own apples was one of the juices available. Also they bake their own bread in a little building outside. Rooms were beautiful, with all amenities. We stayed in one of the less expensive ones, but couldn't imagine anything better unless the more pricey ones have a king size bed. They also have a lounge or rec room for guests use. Has a small kitchen with fridge, large screen TV, billiard table, computer, etc. for guests. Water and soda available. Also about 3 in afternoon, cookies out, and about 6 oclock, appetizers. These are very special, and everything on china. You can almost skip dinner. We were traveling with another couple, and the accomodations were perfect for us both. Do hope we can stay longer than the 3 days the next time we're that away. Anne C.

Nestled in the lush Vermont countryside, this B&B surpassed all expectations.
Happy and friendly staff served delectable breakfasts overlooking ponds and meadows on the outside terrace. Our Terrace room was clean, spacious and quiet which made for great sleeping. We will return for a visit as soon as time permits.

We also stayed at the Inn as the last of our B&B vacation. It was wonderful! We were in the Terrace room which was quite a treat. The room was large, the bed comfortable(though might be difficult for some as it is high off the floor). It is next to the common area which has a pool table and big screen TV. There was no TV in the room which I loved.
The breakfast was quite good and the staff very friendly. The grounds are outstanding.
Would not hesitate to stay here again. Would love to try other rooms.

The last of the four inns we stayed at during our New England vacation was the Inn at Round Barn. It is our favorite. Would first like to thank Stephanie for suggesting we choose the Sterling Room. The views were amazing even in the cloudy weather. Loved the fireplace and open windows to let in the mountain air. We arrived to cookies and a quick tour. All staff were very friendly. Later, we enjoyed playing pool in the game room and exploring the house. Each area was more cozy than the next. The décor is so quaint and makes you feel right at home. The next morning started out with a delicous breakfast served to us at our table in the wood beamed dining room after we watched the chef prepare it in the adjoining kitchen. (loved the coffee cups on the warming tray). Could have eaten outside on the spacious patio but for the rain. The weather finally cleared enough to go walking around the property. One picturesque spot after another - beautiful flowers, ponds, sitting areas, arbors - landscaping is unbelievable. Had fun looking at the barn set up for a party as our son is getting married in a similar venue next month. My only regret is that we could not stay longer - but we hope to make that up in the future.

Room Tip: every room looked good!

The title of your review says it all! In the Mad River Valley the Chamber is working on a documentary with a similar title. They shot some footage here at the inn so when it's released we'll be sure to send you a link! We can't wait for your next visit and hope to see you soon!

We had a lovely stay here. The room was very clean and the house and property beautiful. My only suggestion would be that there needs to be a little more attention paid to the cleaning staff. The innkeeper asked if we would be out for awhile one morning. We said yes and she said she'd have the room cleaned right away. We came home at noon and the room was still dirty. I brought it to their attention and someone got in there right away. Unfortunately, dirty glasses were not removed and towels were not replaced, but left on on the bath floor. In the Inn's defense, I told the inn keeper about it the next day and she gave us a $25 gift of our choice from the gift store. She was very apologetic and that goes a long ways by me. I'd recommend this B&B.

Room Tip: We had a room on the first floor near the side door. It was very private and spacious.

When our Caribbean honeymoon was cancelled last minute we called the Round Barn Farm and they found us a room for that night at a great rate. They even upgraded us from the Wait room to the Dana room because it was our honeymoon. The room was really nice, with comfy armchairs and a fireplace. The property is stunning, with beautiful ponds, hammocks and terraces. We could have spent all our time just wandering around and sitting out in the fresh Vermont air. But we didn't have to, because Waitsfield is the perfect location for accessing lots of fun things in Vermont, like the Ben and Jerry's factory, and all sorts of fun outdoor activities. The staff at the Round Barn were so attentive and kind to us. We keep kosher so we couldn't partake in the delicious looking breakfasts they made fresh every morning, but each day they prepared beautiful fruit plates for us to enjoy. This really is the perfect Vermont bed and breakfast, and we could not have been any luckier.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice, but the lower priced rooms don't have seating areas and fireplaces.
