They Hyde Away has good food. Menu is decent size and we went on Presidents weekend and we were told to make reservations. We did at 5:15pm and got right in. The place was packed so reservations are highly recommended. Overall food and staff were good. We had a party of 10. We were next to the kitchen door so traffic was high but wasn't bothersome. Very family oriented, we had 3 kids and a baby and had no issues. Its only 5 minutes away from the Sugarbush Mountain if you are their Skiing or Snowboarding.

We had a party of eight, and showed up at 6 on a Thursday night. We were told that the wait was 45 mins, but it turned into an hour and a half! The staff was courteous. However, my brother in law who was sitting at the bar while we waited was being introduced to someone, and when he reached over to shake their hand, he accidentally spilled a drink. The bar tender made him pay for the drink!!!! ($7!!!). When we were finally seated with apologies for the wait, it got better. The decor inside is really nice and clean. They have many different choices on their not too large menu, with extreme loyalty to local farmers and fare. They really are right that the closer the food is, the fresher and better it tastes!! Everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and we all had something different. The service is prompt and friendly and it was a very enjoyable meal.

Last year we had a meal here and really enjoyed ourselves so we came back this year, but we found the food to be hit or miss. The french onion soup was not great; the pulled pork sandwich was a bit dry. But other dishes were very good as was their brownie sundae... this time we had an easier time getting a table and service was excellent so this is definitley a place i would go back to.

After all the reviews I read, I figured we'd try this place out on a recent trip to Waitsfield. I liked it, but didn't think it was anything special. I also found it odd that you couldn't get a Heady Topper until after 10pm. If you do go here, try the Brussel sprout appetizer- that is pretty much amazing!!!!

This is a cozy family restaurant/bar with homestyle dishes; chicken pot pie, meatloaf, etc as well as more upscale fare. Great waitstaff, quick service and meal prep. As a bonus, open on Monday evenings. good for families, groups at the bar area, and couples. We return here every year during our ski week.
