“A couple of options- Pub or Dining deliver stick to ribs food”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

Whether you are there during winter or summer, the Hyde Away is a great spot to grab dinner. During ski season, the Apres Ski scene is busy and loud but you can escape to the dining room if you want a quieter dinner. My dinner companion and I ate at one of the pub top tables which was a little narrow to accommodate the larger plates so it was a bit awkward but it was quiet enough on this early summer night to make it work. In a loud setting, it might be annoying. The food was very good and the service excellent. Its a safe bet and good for families or for those who love a bar scene.

“TACO TUESDAY”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

Excellent beer on tap and excellent $2 tacos on Tuesday, so glad we stopped. Plenty of parking and very convenient if you are in the area. Not fancy, just good!

“Average at best”
Reviewed 6 July 2014

One of the many restaurants in this area but not the best of the lot. Average food, better service. Everyone seemed to care a great deal and they were gracious, it was just that my choice of a Greek flat bread was nothing more than olives and feta cheese on what looked like a pizza. Well, it did say flat bread. I was thinking more of an actual sandwich though.

“A highlight of our trip to the Mad River Valley”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Vermont is known for its local food. So after I ordered the pasta with seafood medley, I questioned my judgment. The mussels were local, it turned out, but the seafood is also fresh daily. It was probably the best meal I had while in the valley for a week.

“Eat where the locals eat.”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

When I travel I always look for the places that the locals go. The Hyde Away is it! Vermont is all about locavore, and the Hyde Away sources as much of its food as possible locally and puts together some creative and wholesome meals. There's a pub as well as full service restaurant and in the summer you can sit on the deck and enjoy the afternoon sun and a beverage, But for after skiing there's nothing like a good Vermont brew and a great meal to end a day. It's even got a fireplace adjacent to the bar so get there early! I go back there whenever I visit. Highly recommended.
