I Love Pizza, it is my Favorite Food. I have enjoyed Pizza in Italy, Boston's North End and many other places. American Flatbread in Waitsfield, Vermont is the winner. It is all organic and cooked in a wood-fired over which makes a superior crust! The toppings are so fresh and tasty.
It is a fun, casual place with fire side dining. You will not be disappointed, tell George I sent you!

Stands up to expectations. Amazing pizza and great dining experience. The salads are also good, as is the apple pie a la mode. Highly recommended

This place is in a remodeled barn with the wood burning brick oven right in the middle of the room. The atmosphere just yells fun. We had a sausage and tomato sauce pizza that also had some mushrooms and I can honestly say that it was one of the best pizzas I have ever had.

No visit to the Valley is complete without a visit to the original American Flatbread. Now that the frozen pizzas are being made elsewhere, this wonderful spot is open four nights a week. Its great in any season with a roaring fire going outside all year for those unfortunate enough to have to wait for a table but fortunate enough to breathe in the fresh valley air winter, spring, summer or fall. The pizza is 'otherworldly'....only the freshest local ingredients with interesting specials. You can see it being baked in the clay wood fired oven. Inside its a wonderful cozy atmosphere. In summer, you can eat outside as well. No dinner is complete without a classic salad with their proprietary dressing. Couple it with a local craft beer and you can't beat the combo for an amazing evening out. In winter, people know that you have to go early to get your name in. The option is to plan to go later for the last seatings so you can soak in a hot tub at home or enjoy a beer with friends by the outside fire.

The setting for this Flatbreads is beautiful. Enjoyed the art gallery in the barn and the outdoor setting was beautiful. Highly recommend eating outside if weather permits.

Inside small and hot. Not the same atmosphere as the other locations. Pizza was a bit overdone and dry.

Am still a Flatbread lover...this just wasn't the best experience.

I also think the table of drunken idiots beside us wasn't helpful. The waiter was very patient with them.
