The innkeepers went above and beyond the call of duty to welcome us and to make our stay a memorable one. The breakfasts were magnificent. We look forward to staying there next year when the ski resorts of the Green Mountains beckon.

We have a kid in school nearby and have become regular visitors to the area.

The Pitcher Inn in Warren is the aras's superior inn, but pricing is of the "resort", not "inn" variety and won't make sense to most people, us included. The Clay Brook is the local resort timeshare property. Located at the Lincoln Peak base, it caters to those who, on the pampering vs serious skier scale, tend toward the former.

Most other rooms in the Waitsfield/Warren area are in well-worn inns run in loving-hands-at-home style. We've stayed at a number of them and .... like the Waitsfield Inn the best. This is where we stay now, provided they have availability.

The Waitsfield Inn has new owner/proprietors, California transplants Vickie and Jon Walluck, thoroughly decent people who make an effort. And it shows - and works! They are genuinely happy to see you and are invested in the success of your stay. They rotate the breakfast offerings (yogurt/granola, pumpkin bread, elegantly presented fresh fruit, French toast, eggs and more) and, of course, juices and good teas and coffees. They accommodate reasonable requests and graciously help where they can.

The location on Route 100 is excellent, with restaurants nearby and shopping as close as next door and across the street. Finding this property and using it comfortably could hardly be easier.

The proprietors have embarked on a process of upgrading this appealing 19th century inn. We highly recommend this inn and look forward to many more stays here ourselves. .

I traveled to Waitsfield with friends to ski at Sugarbush. We stayed at Waitsfield Inn on the recommendation of one of my companions. We could not have had a better experience. I definitely plan to return.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Waitsfield Inn for a wedding at the nearby Round Barn.
The Inn's new owners couldn't have been more accommodating. They made everyone feel right at home. Attentive yet unobtrusive.
The rooms were clean and affordable. And the massive shared living room area with television and fireplace made the perfect spot for a nightcap. Luckily the guest rooms were far enough away that people who wanted to turn in early were not kept awake by our late night antics.
Breakfast (which was included with the cost of the room) was delicious. The Innkeeper whipped up a fresh fruit bowl followed by an egg and cheddar souffle accompanied by maple glazed ham. So good. Sure - I was only able to pull myself out of bed by 9 to enjoy it my second and final morning. But that's my fault not theirs. I did mention it was a wedding weekend, right? Ha!
There's even a legit old fashioned penny candy store right off the dining room.
The Inn is located just a few miles from Sugarbush and happens to be next door to a bar (The Den) that has a 2am license and serves one of the best burgers I've ever had.
If you're looking for a reasonably priced and enjoyable weekend getaway to Vermont I can't recommend this place highly enough.

I just got back from one of the most relaxing, comfortable B&Bs that I've ever stayed at. Being from New England, I've been to dozens of inns throughout Mass, NH, VT, Maine and up state NY, and the Waitsfield Inn was perfect. In terms of value, the pricing was more than reasonable, and the breakfasts were delicious and unique with local products. The inn's owners, Jon and Vicki, are great and I would highly recommend this inn to anyone heading up to the Mad River/Sugarbush area.

Under its new owners, Jon and Vicky Wolluck, the Waitsfield Inn provided one of the best B&B experiences we've had. Arriving without reservation, we were made to feel at home immediately; our hosts had the happy knack of being present and helpful without being intrusive. Our room had been recently refurbished, with a new bathroom and and great bed, while retaining the historic feel of the old inn. In addition to the large lounge, there is a delightful, separate reading nook, with its own fireplace, for those who like a little quiet space.
With an emphasis on fresh and, where possible local Vermont, products, breakfasts were exceptional. The Inn does not yet offer evening meals, though there are plans to change that later this year.
