“Great refuge in a snowstorm”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 February 2014

We found ourselves in Maxi's on a stormy night in February. We had planned to head south on 89, but snow squalls made it a good idea to wait a while. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. My husband and son had sandwiches with fries and I had the Waldorf salad. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable and we were glad that we had stopped. Their breakfast for dinner option sounded great and I would seek this place out again if we find ourselves in this corner of Vermont.

“How you mess up a burger and fries?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 December 2013

Everyone else in my party liked their meals- Benedicts and salads- but my burger was tasteless- except that I could taste the poor quality of the beef- and the fries were cold.

“Lunch was just OK.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 October 2013

Had lunch here after a nice ride in the country.
We had a long wait to be seated so expected a great meal.
We both ordered the "Margie Burger" with fries, it was dry with little flavor,
very disappointing. The fries were good. It appears this may be the place for breakfast as almost everyone in the place was eating breakfast at 1:00 in the afternoon. The breakfast portions were all large and that may be the draw. They are right off the 89 exit ramp. We will give it another try in the future.

“Great breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2013

Stopped by Maxi's by meself and had a great breakfast last week (a Sunday). It was quite busy but was able to procure a seat at the bar with no wait required. The frindly waitress had a coffee and mimosa in front of me promptly!

Opted to have the huervos rancheros and hash browns.Tvos were quite filling and were made on a crisp frehly fried taco! The home fries were nice and crisp. Food and service weeimpeccable. Convenient too! 100% recommend it for breakfast!! The lunch menu looked good too. (Next time I guess!).

“Great find!”

Stumbled upon Maxi's off the highway. The food was delish and came out fast. Right down the street from Ben & Jerry's factory tour so it was super convenient.
