“Love this Inn”
Reviewed 30 June 2014 via mobile

My sister and I have stayed at this Inn while doing the Green Mountain Adventure Challenge the last 3 years. We get a deal on Social living for the Inn and the adventure. We stayed in a different room each time and have no complaints about any of them. They are all clean, comfortable, and decorated beautifully. The Inn itself is spacious with many common areas inside and out. The complimentary breakfast is delicious. The staff is gracious and helpful. We are looking forward to going back next summer.

We loved staying here. The cottages were very cute, warm ,and how you picture Vermont. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The food, especially breakfast was excellent. We had our dogs with us and they enjoyed the two ponds. My one dog kept barking at the fish in the water. The best part of the trip was our timing. It is a very slow time of year in Vermont and one night we were the only guests. We stayed in Spring House. There was a lot of room and many unexpected amenities.

Room Tip: The cottages are very private and romantic.

We had bought a voucher for a two-night stay at this inn. It is a large, sprawling property with many sitting areas and a nice dining room. We enjoyed snowshoeing around the property. Our room (Classic #9) was more dated than charming. We stayed for a Tuesday and Wednesday night which turns out to be the nights the in-house restaurant is closed. The good news was that the inn was very quiet; one night we had the inn entirely to ourselves. My only complaint is that they do some things I consider "cheap". The only amenity offered after breakfast was a K-cup machine with one kind of coffee (decaf), paper cups, and powdered creamer (ugh!). Also, I was ask to pay the balance of my bill in cash so they could avoid paying the small fee on this $12 balance; I guess my convenience was not a consideration. I think this place will fall in our "been there, done that" category.

We decided to stay at the Inn at Sawmill Farm while driving in VT this January and it was a real treat. We fell in love with this property at first sight.
Marianne, the receptionist, and Marco, the manager, did all they can to make our stay enjoyable. Nothing was too much for them.
We ate in Nonna's restaurant, which is a part of the Inn and it was very tasty and enjoyable with live music.
Breakfast is great too with excellent service.
The Inn itself is beautiful and charming. It consists of the main part rooms and cottages. We took a very large cottage. Very clean and fully equipped.
The cottage was spotless and very relaxing. We had a fireplace with plenty of wood and all the accessories needed.
Large bathroom with a powerfull Jacuzzi.
The snow views outside were amazing. Easy short drive to Snow mountain and the shops/restaurnts in the area.
My wife and I loved our 3 night stay and we will definitely return if ever in the area again!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Tried several different places in the area for ski trips to Mount Snow and after our first stay in the winter 2013, we fell in love with the Saw Mill Farm. Very unique and no 2 rooms are the same. And now under new management, even better, Marco has stepped it up a notch, doing whatever it takes to make the place run smooth and your stay pleasant, a real professional. Everyone who works there is great, from Angel and Marianne at the front desk, to the house keepers that keep the rooms neat and clean, and the wait staff in the restaurant. And while staying at the Inn, be sure to eat at Nonna's for the best Italian in the Valley in a setting that is warm and inviting as if you were in someone's home. Why stay anywhere else.

Room Tip: Tip? Hummmmm, make your plans now to stay! Even more beautiful in the summer and fall.

The Inn is an antique. That is a treasure. It is a four-minute drive to Mt Snow. Huge fireplace in the communal living room. Also a reading room, a library, and another sitting room with grand piano. Our room was clean, spacious, and the bathroom was recently renovated. Now, not everything works perfectly: this is a family-run hotel and it has character aplenty. It is not the Holiday Inn – and we don't want the Holiday Inn! But it is a delightful, cordial hotel with a fine bar and very good restaurant.

I recently spent 4 nights in a standard room, which was spacious and very clean. I particularly like that the blanket is inside clean sheets. We had dinner at Nonna's one night. Exceptional food and service, and they tell you the price of each special when describing. Breakfast (included in stay) was great and Kathleen (server at breakfast) was extremely nice and professional. Overall, the staff could not have been more accommodating. They gave me a personalized letter when I checked in. I will definitely be going back. A short ride to Mt. Snow.

Room Tip: I thought the standard room was great because I needed two beds.
