Lets just start off by saying clearly this is not a Four Seasons Resort. But for Mt. Snow its their equivalent (meaning nicest your going to get there). Ski on Ski off couldnt be any easier. Staff was very friendly helping me with everything from a car to pick us up from the bar down the road to assisting me with a special Valentines Day champagne and chocolate treat for my girlfriend on the bed when we returned from dinner. Everyone from the Front Desk to the restaurant Bar were very friendly and truly seemed to be loving what they are doing. It was my first time visiting and next season i will definitly be back with a larger group to hopefully try out one fo their larger suites.

Stayed for a night with wife and 2 children. Perfect ski on ski off with ski valet right where you enter mountain. Pool and jacuzzi afterward were perfect with great views of mountain at sunset. Rooms were very comfortable with lots of seating, Euro style beds, and conveniences including fully stocked kitchenette, WiFi and IPOD docking station. Dinner at Harrimans was well prepared and service was great, General manager of the resort even spent time helping out waitresses and making sure everyone was enjoying their meals.
Hotel staff was very accomodating, Valet staff for Parking and skis was excellent makes the whole ski experience with young children much more relaxing.
Great

Outstanding value for midweek included a slopeside room, two daily lift tickets, and above average continental breakfast in its daily rate. Clean room with very comfortable Murphy bed and full kitchenette with stove, microwave, & refrigerator. WiFI free. Great slopeside view. Outodoor heated swimming pool, hot tubs, and full spa and health club. All very nice. Upon our initial arrival on Wednesday night, front desk personnel we met were friendly and helpful. When we originally booked the reservation and again upon arrival, we asked for a very quiet room & we were assured it would be very quiet. The first night WAS very quiet. However, the second night, Thursday night, was awfully loud, and exactly as an earlier reviewer (LucyMassachusetts- tripadvisorreview 2/9/11) described, "A circus act in the room above and bedside". The hotel allows visitors to wear ski boots inside the hotel, which is a horrible policy. We heard ski boots above our room as late as 1AM and as early as 6:45AM (slopes open at 9AM). The policy in the hotel literature states that quiet time is enforced after 10 PM - it isn't. To further illustrate this environment, at 10:45PM, the second night of our stay, I opened our room door to a group of children loudly running up and down the halls without adult supervision. Overall, this affected our sleep greatly, especially after a day of skiing.
Obnoxious, inconsiderate peopIe stay everywhere and I have made it a policy not to judge a location based on a few irritating visitors when management enforces their stated policies and decorum is maintained. However, when a hotel is lax about their policies, it poorly reflects on their overall management, and a deluxe hotel becomes as good as a economy hotel.

My husband and I spent one night at the Grand Summit Hotel. This was a quick midweek ski getaway, and the hotel was offering a good rate, which included two lift tickets. We have stayed here before, and on this visit, we found some things had improved. The staff was much friendlier and more helpful, the room had been updated with an iPod/iPhone docking station, and the buffet breakfast (included in our room rate) was excellent. The WiFi connection (free) was fast and problem-free.
There were a few things that needed attention, however. The hotel bills itself as ski in-ski out. When we were there, they had had a lot of snow and no one had made a path from the hotel parking lot to the base of the mountain. We were forced to clamber over a very, very high embankment carrying our skis and poles, post holing and sliding all the while. Someone could have at least shoveled a path.
The room was nice, but the doors on the media cupboard would not stay closed, and with it so close to the bed, there was no room to pass when they were open. The handle on the hot water tap in the bathroom came off in my hand. I screwed it back on. Finally, we were on an upper floor, and even with the room heating unit off, it was much too hot, and we had to crack open a window - in below zero temperatures. The bed was comfortable, though, and we enjoyed a quiet night's sleep - important if you are planning to be up early the next morning.

My large family just came back from a great week of skiing. While the snow was great, the vacation was made all the better by the ski on – ski off location of the hotel… Right at the base of the lifts.

The unit we had was superb. Bedroom with two queen size beds, sleeping loft with king size bed and a fold out sofa in the “great room” (kitchen, living room, dining area). Third floor unit overlooked the heated pool and mountain from the loft, and the valley from the main floor. Three bathrooms made for no waiting after skiing or the pool. Three tvs were a pleasant surprise when we came in ready to relax.

The Grand Summit cost a little more than the places down the road, but the convenience of the location and the meals in the room made it worth the money. Try the Mt. Snow Ale on tap and the crab cake appetizer at Remington’s.

Stayed in Grand Summit for 3 nights in January 2011 for a skiing trip. As a ski-in ski-out hotel it is just perfect, right on the slopes and steps away from all the lifts. A tip to skiers: if you come during a weekend or a major holiday/kids winter break time don't check your skis in with a bellboy, take them with you to your room instead - you'll save yourself 15-20 minutes of waiting in line to pick them up in the morning. The decor is dated but everything is clean and functional. The breakfast was included in our package and was kind of edible, but we ended up just eating the food we brought with us. Housekeeping is very good. The restaurant downstairs was also OK, there's a small Bar & Grill place steps away from the hotel serving Mexican cuisine, which was surprisingly good. The little waffle house is a great quick snack stop, try their chocolate waffles. So, overall, it is a convenient and guest-friendly (but a little noisy during peak times) place. A little on a pricey side but if you come to ski you pay for proximity to lifts.

Great location right on the mountain. Nice hotel. Nice view of the slopes. Regular rooms are small for a family of 4. Going back this February and getting a larger room. Expensive during president's week. Great free breakfast buffet included. Pillows not comfortable. Going to bring own pillow next time. Long walk to the ski school was a drawback, but overall we enjoyed it.
