My now fiancé and I felt very, very welcome at the Deerfield Valley Inn, and the two wonderful Ladies which run this establishment were prepared to go above and beyond to make our stay with them as pleasant an experience as one could possibly wish for. They even provide freshly home baked treats and hot apple cider to enjoy in front of their fireplace on your arrival. I would certainly stay there again, and cannot recommend it enough to others.
This is a superbly comfortable base to use for trips up to Mount Snow, made very easy for those without a car by the Friesian themed “moover” bus. This free service will ferry you between the bus stop right outside the Deerfield Valley Inn, and the resort at the foot of the mountain some 10-15 minutes away.
A word of warning, however, about the Northeast Adventure bus service from New York city to Mount Snow. Whilst they provide an excellent service, indispensable for someone without their own wheels and on a budget, our experience was severely soured by a last minute change in pick-up point (incurring a significant addition to our travelling expenses) and a testy driver.
