“First time, hopefully not our last.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2013

After camping throughout Vermont for a week, we decided to try something new on our last night. This was our first(formal) naturist experience, and hopefully there are many more to come. The people were very relaxed and friendly. I spoke to Amy on the phone, but never got to meet her in- person as she was out when we visited(it was a random Tuesday). I am told that the weekend is when the real party happens. Yet, we had a great time tent camping and can't wait to return. See you there!

Room Tip: Bring a tent and camp!

My Wife and I visited Abbott's Glen for the first time in August 2013. It was also our first clothing optional experience. The atmosphere at Abbott's Glen was one that made us both feel very comfortable and welcomed. We enjoyed visiting with new people and relaxing in the sun for most of the weekend. The grounds were wonderful, the food excellent, conversations enlightening, and the whole experience was one to be remembered. We are already planning our next trip, hopefully sooner than later. Thank you Amy, Lindy and the amazing Liz for a wonderful first time experience.

We have visited the Wilmington, VT area for years but never stopped at Abbot's Glen. But last year the water was too high at Harriman Reservoir so we decided to spend a day at Abbott's Glen. It was awesome. Amy, Lindy & Liz are so gracious and welcoming. The grounds are quiet, peaceful, walking thru the woods and along the river perfectly free of clothing and feeling so free. The beach area by the river is perfect for us, listening to the water and cooling off floating in the tubes. We then spent a night in the Orchard room in Abbott House, just beautiful. This year we have spent a night as well and it was again awesome. The meals are incedible, fresh herbs, local foods and prepared with excellance. We engaged in the dancing in the evening and it was the best enjoyment ever. I feel so pampered being there, we don't want to leave. We can't wait to go back. Dick & Beth

My wife and I have become regulars. We've been AANR members for several years now and have been to many of the campgrounds/resorts in eastern USA. Abbott's Glen stands out because of the hospitality of the owners and because of the grounds. It feels like staying with family - rooms are like guest rooms at your aunt's house and not like a clinical hotel. The hot tub, the pond, the trail, the beach, billiards, dancing, gourmet food, great location in Vermont. We've been here several times now and love the region. Good antique shops and flea market 10 minutes away. We have stayed here in winter too and enjoyed the hot tub and fire heated sauna. My personal feeling is that this has to be amongst the best places for clothing-optional first timers because it is laid back and friendly and not crowded.

Room Tip: Bring ear plugs if sleeping early and not dancing. If there is dancing (usually on weekend), the mu...

We visited Abbott's Glen in June 2013. It was our first visit to a clothing optional resort. We chose Abbott's Glen for two reasons. It is not near our out of state residence so we did not fear running into a familiar face and it is clothing optional so we had the opportunity to ease into the lifestyle. Amy, Lindy and Scooby were great hosts. It was a weeknight early in the season and we were fortunate to have the resort to ourselves. I felt completely relaxed on the property and lost my clothing soon after I got there. The Mrs. is very shy but managed to stay comfortably topless for most of the overnight stay. The grounds were well manicured and the food was amazing. We will go back again next year armed with a little more confidence. I highly recommend Abbott's Glen for any first timers. Amy will put you at ease.

Room Tip: The Meadow View room has a balcony

We visited for the day - and then couldn't wait to make a return trip and stay the weekend. I almost hate to share how wonderful it was, as one of the things that appealed the most was the intimate setting - not crowded, just the right amount of people where we could mingle if we wanted, or feel like we had the place totally to ourselves. The river and "Vermont Beach" and the hot tub were some of our favorite places to hang out. Lindy and Amy are gracious hosts - we couldn't have asked for better, and will definitely visit again!

My girlfriend and I spent a wonderfull weekend: walking in the wood, swinmming in the river and the pond, taking a sauna, relaxing in this quiet and natural site.

And what to say about the good breakfast and diner prepared for us!: fresh, healthy and delicious.
We met very nice people all along the weekend and bike in the valley to Jacksonville, Wilmington and the Ledges.

What a nice party on saturday night with dance and good music until after midnight.

Thanks to Amy and Lindy for creating a so charming place!
