Description: Step back in time and relax in our 1880's farmhouse and tavern. The Bryant House Restaurant and Tavern at The Vermont Country Store serves up comfort food sure to please. From grass-fed burgers, chicken pot pie, pot roast, burgers, fish and chips, homemade desserts and more, there is something for everyone from grandkids to grandparents. The Bryant House restaurant is adjacent to and apparently affiliated with the Vermont Country Store retail outlet. As an "in store" restaurant I wasn't really expecting much, but was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service, and at reasonable prices. A great place for lunch before or after the unique shopping experience of the country store. Setting and décor are very charming as well.

Good food, located next to the Vermont country Store. The restaurant is located in an old building with quaint rooms and good service.

There was a handicapped entrance in the back but there were tables and chairs right in the way! They would have to get up and move if I brought my wheelchair in. The tables were crowded too close together. The food was not very good. The tuna was odd tasting and had something that was rather crunchy (not celery which I recognized) in it and was just one big ball of it in the center of the sandwich (too make the sandwich look huge I guess). The bathroom was very nice. Our waitress was VERY nice and attentive. Sorry I didn't like it since I've wanted to go there for years and finally got there (Thurs Oct 17th).

Had lunch at the Bryant House during the Weston Arts Gallery Weekend. This weekend, 10-13 Oct is a big weekend throughout Vermont. Mt Snow, in West Dover is also having a big event.
Anyway, be prepared for as much as a 45 minute wait over a busy weekend or when a major event is going on. Be sure to stop at the Vermont Country Store.

The food comes quick despite the crowds. It is also hot. The service is fast and constant, they attend to see if you need anything on a regular basis, but it is not obnoxious.

You will not be sorry you visited. The House is also a living museum and they encourage people to walk around the place and check out the history

We return to the Bryant House time after time.
We love the Bryant House for its cozy Vermont atmosphere and great home style cooking. Try the pot roast-it's excellent!
