“Snow, jacuzzi and homemade breakfast”
Reviewed 1 February 2014

Snow , jacuzzi and homemade delicious breakfast. The room is comfy, snow fall on the outdoor jacuzzi made it perfect. There are adorable dogs on the property, one of them can dance, how cute.Cozy places to lounge and scrabble to borrow, we ran out and bought our own.
The town is adorable and in driving distance to other fun towns in VT and skiing.

My boyfriend is very allergic to dogs so it was a little difficult for him but we enjoyed our stay never the less and loved the outdoor jacuzzi, the owner, the town and the food!

We stayed over the holiday weekend and it was one of the best B&B's we've ever stayed at. The Inn keepers were friendly and welcoming, and also had two of the most adorable, friendly, and well-behaved dogs. The Inn was very clean and cozy with tons of places to play a game, have some late dinner, or sip on wine. The room was very clean and exactly as portrayed in the pictures, the bed was also extremely comfortable. Although it was snowing, we still used the hot tub which was a nice remedy for the Vermont cold.

Also worth noting, as others did, the breakfast was AMAZING. Easily the best breakfast i've ever had, no exaggeration. The food was fresh, local, and cooked to perfection. The first day I got the pancakes, which were simply amazing. The second day I got the daily special, cream cheese and raspberry stuffed french toast - to die for if the description doesn't imply.

This place was awesome! The innkeepers were incredibly friendly. They offered to give my boyfriend and I a ride up to Mount Snow when the car wouldn't get up the mountain after a snow storm. They cook a mean breakfast. It's a full blown menu cooked to order and it's free of charge (but that doesn't mean you shouldn't tip!). The room itself was amazing, whirlpool bathtub, fireplace and tasteful decor. The inn was conveniently located in the middle of Wilmington which is a small town but you have access to restaurants, local shops and a liquor store. Overall a fantastic stay. The people who run it go above and beyond to make your stay amazing so be sure to treat them right!

Room Tip: No fitness center but they are only 8-9 miles to Mount Snow! No swimming pool but there is an outdoo...

We just spent 4 nights at the Wilmington Inn with our kids and had a wonderful experience. The innkeepers Patrick, Dan and Ashley, were friendly, attentive and accommodating. The breakfasts were excellent. They don't serve dinners, but they gave us recommendations for where to eat and we were delighted with them. Our room was clean, well maintained, comfortable and warm. The location was ideal to us because you have the convenience of being in town and while it's located on Main Street, the inn is set back far enough that you aren't right on the main road and we were able to walk to a great latte, to a couple of restaurants, and to visit the book and gift shops. Mount Snow is 10-15 minutes away and Stratton is about 25 mins.

Room Tip: Tell Patrick your needs - he was very responsive to ours when I called to make inquiries/reservation...

My husband, 9 year old son and I had a wonderful stay at the Wilmington Inn and Tavern earlier this week. Patrick, the innkeeper, is delightful and accommodating with a great sense of humor. We were supposed to arrive at 6:30 pm but were caught in a bad snowstorm and arrived at 10:30 pm. Patrick greeted us with a smile, checked us in quickly and even brought 2 glasses of wine up to us.

Pros
Great innkeeper
Delicious home cooked breakfast with a nice variety of items from which to choose
Amazingly comfortable bed (JC Suite)
Welcoming common areas with games and comfortable couches
Close to Mount Snow (<10 min drive)

Cons
Some areas a bit dated ... carpets and furniture in JC Suite

Will definitely stay here during future visits and highly recommend to those looking for a great bed & breakfast in Southern Vermont

We booked a stay at the Wilmington Inn after we found out our regular B&B in West Dover was closed for the weekend we wanted to visit. We are so happy we ended up here! The innkeepers (Patrick and Dan) were extremely friendly. Patrick even went out of his way to make us a different vegan breakfast the two mornings we were there - delicious vegan pancakes and yummy oatmeal and apples the next day (and soy milk for our coffee as well). We had our 10-month old son with us, and Patrick made him his own pancake the second morning. We loved being greeted by Rook and Frankie (resident dogs) every time we returned to the Inn. The common areas and our room (Wilmington) were very clean. We will definitely be returning to the Wilmington Inn!!!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Wilmington. It's right at the top of the stairs on the second floor. It has t...

My wife and I recently spent two nights at The Wilmington Inn & Tavern. The accomodations were very good, the breakfasts were excellent, and the Inn was in great condition. The Innkeepers were friendly and helpful. Because it is so close to downtown Wilmington (a short walk) I would highly recommend this as a place to stay if you are visiting the Wilmington area or are skiing nearby. We will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.
