We just came back from a wonderful weekend in Vermont. We stayed at the Brass B&B and we were very, very happy with our choice. Laraine and Skip were excellent hosts and made us feel at home. They went above and beyond in helping accommodate our needs (no four wheel drive or snow pants!). We stayed in the room with a beautiful view of the forested trails. The brass bed was extremely comfortable. My fiance and I enjoyed reading and watching tv in our own little living room space. The bathroom was spacious and well stocked. The entire house was clean and felt very cozy. We had the pleasure of watching Skip and Laraine perform their musical talents at a nearby restaurant. We were impressed! We also purchased some of Skip's very humorous and funny art from his very own The Art of Humor Museum, which is attached to their house. We were so happy to find this gem and enjoyed our nice, quiet weekend in Vermont.

We arrived for Valentines weekend to a very warm welcome from the owners. The room is more of a guest room in their beautiful home, located on the third floor. The suite itself has two bedrooms and a living room between them. If you don't have four people, never fear, they don't rent the other bedroom.

To our great delight, the room is stocked with lots of complimentary snacks, milk, cereal, and best of all, cookies! We would leave the room, come back, and there would be fresh baked cookies or pumpkin coffee cake waiting for us. The house itself is connected to the Art of Humor art gallery, which was fantastic.

The location was also great, tucked into the woods with 14 acres to snowshoe in (and they give you complimentary snowshoes!), but only 5 minutes from Wilmington.

My wife and I were searching the internet for the location of a peaceful, retreat at the edge of the Green Mtns - and not too far from Boston. We knew right away once we arrived and met our hosts Lorraine and Skip, that we'd found just what we'd hoped for. The home is extra special - with a 3rd flr upstairs 2 bedroom accommodation that leaves nothing to be desired. Spacious, with a cathedral ceiling in the main bedroom, offering a view of the property and Green Mountains, your peace and quiet are guaranteed. There is also a sitting room between the two bedrooms and offers a cozy place to relax and also enjoy the fresh breakfast and treats during the afternoon. We will return!!!!

We were looking for a nice quiet place to enjoy our anniversary, and found the Brass B&B to exceed our expectations. The hosts are charming and warm and treated us like close friends they always knew. The special attention Loraine gave to our needs and comfort and breakfast made our stay memorable and eager to return. The country views and walking trails provide a relaxing surrounding. The nearby small town provided Vermont country shopping at its best. Don't forget to take the time to to visit the Fun Art Gallery right on sight, topping off the experience..

Room Tip: It has two rooms, both 3rd floor, you need to able to climb stairs

It does not matter what time of year it is, the Brass Bed is a tranquil and enjoyable experience. I brought two of my closest friends for thier birthday and they were so thrilled with all the personal touches and the peace and quiet that this lovely B and B offers. I hihgly recommend this to everyone!

I've stayed at the Brass Bed B&B in Wilmington VT on 3 different occasions, and each time my expectations were exceeded. The first time was during a beautiful, snowy winter, and I was able to walk along the trails on their property after enjoying a breakfast of fresh muffins and coffee. The B&B rooms on the 3rd floor offer a great view out of the central living space in the center, and through all the windows in the bedrooms. My room even had a little balcony affording a view of the snow-capped trees. The central living space has a mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker, and Laraine delivers the fresh-baked muffins every day. Another balcony with a little table and chairs is just off the central living space, and looks out onto the property, down into the atrium's first floor, and amazing views of the landscape. The bathroom is spacious, and includes some of the little essentials one may forget to pack. My subsequent visits were in the spring and one in the summer, where I had the chance to take the same walk through the property on grassy trails, dotted with little white flowers. Skip even invited us to tour his Gallery, showcasing his whimsical sense of humor. (Check out his version of the Mona Lisa!) It only takes a few minutes to drive into the town, where there are some great shops and restaurants. There are also MOO-vers that will transport you to Mt Snow and other sites. But the real highlight of my trips was enjoying the ambiance of the B&B. Skip and Laraine make you feel like you're in your own home, and the 3rd floor B&B feels like the bedroom suite you want in your own home!

Room Tip: The room facing east has doors opening onto a balcony and allows the sun to wake you in the morning...

I can't say enough about what a wonderful place this is. Laraine and Skip have a beautiful home and it is nice as you feel like you have your own place in their home as it is on the third floor. Everything is so tastefully done and has all the special touches of baked goods and fresh fruit and a gorgeous breakfast waiting for you in the morning. The views are beautiful no matter what time of the year and you have the added benefit of Skip Murrow's Art and Humor gallery right on the premises. This was a wonderful find and encourage everyone to check it out! Rates are reasonable and the company is fantastic! Roberta, Chris and Sarah Curran
