Was traveling thru Vermont on Highway 9 and came across this small town of Wilmington. Looked like Dot's was the only choice but they didn't act like it was. The place was packed and a 30 minute wait was a short one.

There homemade breads and the best bacon I ever ate. I guess they have no competition in town because it would be tough to beat them with any better food or service.

We ate here three times during our week's stay in Wilmington. The cafe is pleasant with great waitresses. The food is tasty even though a bit pricey. The furniture is serviceable even though not fancy. Best recommendation is that both locals and tourists swarm in here to eat breakfast and lunch. Our return trip here twice in a week after the first visit shows our vote on the quality.

We visit Wilmington vt. often and always make a point of going to Dot's for breakfast. We can count on excellent, friendly service, and whatever we order is very good. The berry berry pancakes are my favorite, loaded with lots of berries and served with REAL maple syrup. Prices are reasonable. It is a popular place for both visitors and locals so you can usually expect a wait on a weekend, but it isn't usually a long, and it is always worth the wait.

We stopped at Dot's while passing through Wilmington for a late breakfast. We were very happy to find that they served whole grain pancakes! The blueberry pancakes were delicious. The veggie omelet was great too, and so was their homemade wheat bread! The breakfast and lunch menu had many choices, and the service was friendly and efficient. We had a tasty meal with a view of the river.

We were saddened that Irene in 2011 had severely disabled Dot's Restaurant, a friendly little place at which we occasionally stopped on our way to/from New Hampshire and Maine. It took a while to get Dot's back in shape, but it's as great a place as ever to stop for lunch. Nice variety, attentive service, good value. The building is on the old footprint but it looks new. A large part of the dining area has been moved to the east side, overlooking the creek, and the flowers outside is further evidence that the owner cares. Great chili, by the way.
