“An absolute gem”

This gorgeous B&B in sleepy Windsor, VT was exactly what my significant other and I needed for our 5th anniversary trip. Michelle, the owner, was incredibly attentive and ridiculously knowledgeable and prepared to help us find any and everything we might want to do. When my S.O. and I were running late we called the Snapdragon and Michelle took amazing care of us. She made us a reservation at the nearest pub, the Station (which is delicious, by the way) to make sure we didn't go hungry that night and also left us her cell phone number in case we needed anything else when we arrived. We also got upgraded to a King suite for the whole week! The room was BEAUTIFUL, from the furnishing to the lighting to the gorgeous bathroom. It's clear that everything and everyone in the Snapdragon is loved and well taken care of. But what really put this place over the top were the fresh baked cookies left out every night when we got home. Thank you to whatever being made those because holy moly they are delicious. We have been raving about this place since we got home and will absolutely be back!

Thank you so much for your response, we never let anyone go hungry! I hope you're dreaming of the Windsor Station and those chocolate chip cookies until next time. If you get in touch we're happy to send you the recipe for you to make up a batch or two to tide you over, we love sharing our not-so-secret family recipe. Hope to see you again soon.

The Snapdragon Inn is a lovely little gem in the middle of Vermont. We came for one night to get away from the city (Boston) and found a wonderful hideaway. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very clean. There's an old colonial feel to the inn but it seems very modern because the rooms have been immaculately painted and decorated with newer amenities. The radiators add a touch of a classic feel, but work so well you'd think they were just installed yesterday. We stayed on a very very cold night in the dead of winter, and the room warmed up very pleasantly in only a matter of minutes after we turned the radiator up. The radiant heating in the bathroom flooring is also a very nice touch. Although there is only a stand-up shower in the bathroom, it's very roomy and has great water pressure.

The best thing about our stay was the luxurious king-sized bed. There is a feather topped mattress and thick, rich down comforter to snuggle up in. I don't think I've slept so well in many months!

The only little thing I'd change would be the breakfast. When you stay at an inn, you typically hope for a true bed and breakfast experience. The continental style breakfast here left me wanting more. It would have been really wonderful to sit down to a hot meal instead of bagels, cereal and toast, though the maple cream and vermont jams were a nice touch.

The manager of the inn is super nice and helpful and went out of her way to make sure each guest had plans solidified for the day, providing maps and brochures. I'd definitely come back!

Room Tip: We stayed in room #8 - it's gorgeous.

Wow, wow, wow! The Snapdragon Inn was one of the most BEAUTIFUL and comfortable Inn's I've ever stayed in. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous; fireplaces, claw foot tubs, heated bathroom floors!!, the most comfortable beds and all was spotless. Such attention to detail! Breakfast is unbelievable; fresh local breads, yogurts, fruits, eggs, maple creams/butters.. all from surrounding vendors. Possibly the best part of the Inn are the wonderfully warm and amazing women who run it, Michele and Chris, so ready to help you create an unforgettable weekend in beautiful Windsor, VT. I will definitely be returning!

This is a beautiful, wonderful bed and breakfast that I will definitely be visiting again. I stayed for a night with my boyfriend and wished we could've stayed longer. The king size bedroom with the soaking tub is amazing -I highly recommend. When we arrived after 8, there was a plate of chocolate chip cookies waiting for us which were delicious. The breakfast was perfect! Bagels, home baked breads, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, granola, cereals, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juices and plenty more. Michele was wonderful to deal with. Very helpful and pleasant. There are local artisans including Simon Pearce glass blowing which is amazing as well as a brewery, vodka distillery and other local artisans. Thank you for a wonderful stay -we'll be back!

We stayed at the Snapdragon Inn for two days on a New England holiday, just before our youngest began university. We found the large room very cosy and laughed with a few fun DVD's from the inn collection as we curled up after busy days. It was a lovely place and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. The owners were great and very helpful and friendly to us. The grounds were pleasant and the nearby drives quite pretty.

My boyfriend's and my experience was a good one at the Snapdragon Inn. The day we arrived was a little troublesome because it was a Monday, and most of the restaurants and shops in Windsor are closed that day. Although they only server breakfast at the Inn, the housekeeper was very kind in advising us which places were open. The ground floor is absolutely beautiful. Our room was nice, we were placed in Room One, although we were a disappointed we were given a room with no bath, since there were only a few people residing in the Inn and the website gives much attention to the claw-foot baths. However, the room was warm and the sheets and pillows were quite comfortable. We were also able to watch films and read books from the downstairs library. They would have fires as well, which were very warm and comforting. The inn was incredibly quiet while we were there, and I'm pretty sure we were the only ones there on New Year's Day (we stayed for three nights). Breakfast was served every morning, and on the day in which we were the only ones the housekeeper even left it out for us because we woke up late. The food was delicious and absolutely adorable, but there were only a couple hot options like hard-boiled eggs and you could toast bagels or English muffins. The area around Windsor is incredibly sleepy in the winter, though, so we were glad this vacation was mainly about spending time in together on a quiet trip. We did get to go to the Harpoon Brewery for lunch (that was so-so, the service was incredibly slow) and we went to dinner at a nice restaurant called Jesse's in NH. The people at the inn were incredibly welcoming and kind, although the price is a little high, in my opinion. Short stays are probably more economical and wise given what there is to do in the area and the price of things. Overall, we had a great experience!

Room Tip: Try to request a room with a bath right up front if that's what you want. We just assumed we wou...

My husband and I just returned from a 1 night stay. We thought the main level was well decorated and comfortable and the room was spacious and well appointed with flat screen tv, dvd player, large bathroom with heated floor and claw foot tub (we stayed in room 5). But, while the room had all of the modern amenities, it lacked a warmth and charm which I associate with B and Bs. We were disappointed and somewhat surprised that breakfast did not offer any hot options given cost of stay. My husband found the bed a little too firm. I thought it was great. Pillows are goose down (in case you have allergies). The innkeeper/woman who greeted us was friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: I hear room 9 is really great.
