Having stayed at many a New England inn, I simply cannot remember any place as lovely and welcoming as the Snapdragon. The fact that it's an excellent value is an added attribute! We were visiting the area specifically for the Saint-Gaudens historic site, which is literally five minutes away across the Cornish-Windsor covered bridge - perfect. We lazed around reading on the shaded porch and in the library, thoroughly enjoying the literary ambiance. The inn offers the kind of amenities you'd find in the finest hotels, with spacious, well-appointed guest rooms. There's a light breakfast with yogurt, toast, granola and the like served continental-style in the kitchen, where guests can help themselves to coffee, tea, water and fruit whenever the spirit moves them. So glad we visited, and will definitely return.

Room Tip: The inn was fully booked when we visited, but our second-floor corner room was nice and quiet.

An historic home that's been elegantly converted and modernised into a delightful, high-quality B&B. Although my girlfriend and I didn't get a chance to explore the grounds or utilise all the facilities, our room was very spacious, clean and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and room included all expected amenities, including iron. Overall, our stay was delightful and I would rate this place the best B&B that I've stayed at. We will definitely be staying at Snapdragon Inn again, and would highly recommend it to others.

Snapdragon Inn is a historic B&B with contemporary amenities. The house and grounds are beautiful and Snapdragon sets itself apart from other similar properties by offering surprisingly clean and spacious rooms with comfortable beds, solid air conditioning, wall mounted flat-screen tv's, wi-fi, and little touches, like heated bathroom floors and a nice selection of L'Occitane bath products. A short walk from the yard and gardens leads one to Paradise Park, with a scenic lake mountains rising behind its shores. The weak link is the breakfast, a fully sufficient self-service continental spread, but not not the drool-worthy homemade creations one eats at some Vermont B&B's. But overall, we had an excellent stay and we would heartily recommend Snapdragon to other traveler's in the upper valley region.

Even before we arrived, we exchanged emails with Michelle, who wanted to ensure our first trip to Vermont was going to be memorable. We stayed for a Dartmouth graduation 25 minutes away but it was worth the smooth drive. Room 8 was pleasant and spacious. While the inn is historic, the renovations have made the entire house very comfortable and clean. Breakfast had a good variety and we discovered yummy Vermont peanut butter with walnuts and Vermont maple cream. Michelle did something very special for our family when one of her recommendations didn't meet our expectations. That was very kind and sweet of her - and something you won't get from hotels. Would recommend this particularly as an alternative to Hanover Inn, which is very nice and convenient, but hard to book.

It is a beautiful house, very well kept. The room and bathroom were big and spotless. The breakfast was great and we really enjoyed the cookies left at night in the entry. We were there for a Dartmouth graduation, the drive was about 25 minutes, but we did not mind, because we were very confortable there. i would definetely recommend the Snapdragoon Inn.
