We loved everything about this B&B. We stayed in the Garden Suite, which included a large bedroom with queen bed. The bed was very comfortable. Very cozy suite decorated in country garden style, clean, and quiet. Lots of large windows with great views of backyard and mountains (Peaks of Otter). The suite included a sitting room with fridge, microwave, bistro table, sofa. I loved opening the window at sunrise to hear the sounds of nature waking to the new day. See the photo of view from room. Bathroom is also large and bright with shower. The suite was comfortably furnished. Our hostess, Ellen, provided maps and lots of information as to what to do in area. We enjoyed visiting with Ellen and husband John. Breakfast is served at 9am and was delicious. One morning we needed to leave a little early so Ellen had scrambled eggs and fruit ready for us. She is so hospitable. We loved our stay!

The B&B has several rooms that are let to guests. Nice deck to enjoy the views. Downstairs you'll find two HUGE rooms that will accommodate families. There are a variety of sleeping arrangements. Hot tub, covered patio, nice space for outdoor dining.

Another good time to go is the fall to see the colorful mountains.Vanquility Acres Inn is close to Peaks of Otter. The house is relatively new and modern.

After a long drive on Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway, this was a wonderful B & B to end up at. Great views, quiet, with many things to do in area (hiking, fishing, picnics, antiques, etc). Ellen makes her own jams, honey and delicious breakfasts and is a very friendly hostess. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

We absolutely love the Inn. The view of the Peaks of Otter and the land surrounding the Inn is a must see. Ellen, the Owner, works hard at seeing that everything you could possibly need or want is there for you to enjoy !! We enjoyed being close enough to Lynchburg to go there for the day but far enough away to go back to the peace and quiet of the decks surrounding in this home. We will most definately visit in the Fall when the view of the fall foliage will be the best. !!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this modern B and B near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Lovely mountain views and room was very, very clean, comfortable and cutely decorated with lots of thoughtful touches. Innkeepers, John and Ellen were extremely welcoming and accommodating: Ellen even took requests for breakfast serving her own homemade preserves and honey with delicious food. She definitely has a talent for making you feel right at home! We would strongly recommend this B and B and hope to return soon.

Never fully knowing what to expect we came away with a desire to return if only for the company of John and Ellen. She is warm and friendly and he is a hoot. The accomodations were well appointed and immaculate. Ellen's attitude about the well being of her guests and the experience of their stay are utmost in her mind. In addition, she goes the extra mile in serving each guest at the hour they arise as opposed to a set time for breakfast. Just off the Blue Ridge Pkwy, their view is outstanding.

We just returned from a visit to the Bedford, VA area and were delighted to have spent one of our nights at the Vanquility Inn in Bedford. The accommodations were very nice and the hospitality was great. John and Ellen were great hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. Their beautiful home and its view of the Peaks of Otter was well worth the trip. They made us feel very welcome and at home. Ellen has added all of the special touches that made our stay one to remember!

We really enjoyed our stay at Vanquility Acres Inn from Oct. 14 thru Oct. 17. Located just outside the City of Bedford, Virginia and close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Innkeepers, Ellen and John Everett, were just great hosts during our stay, and we could not have asked for more. From the view of mountain peaks off of the back deck, to the wonderful Nubian goats that they raise, it is just a wonderful place to go and relax. We had a group of 10 people, and all of them expressed what a great time they had. Ellen is a wonderful cook, and it was a treat each morning to see what she was going to come up with. I highly recommend you consider them on your next getaway.
