“Beautiful Garden & Luxurious Rooms”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

I stayed here with my fiance for a romantic getaway last week, and we couldn't have left happier!! The rooms were all clean and updated, the backyard was an oasis for relaxation, and the innkeepers were very friendly. We didn't have reservations until about 30 minutes before we arrived, and they were very accommodating for such a last minute request. And the breakfast was amazing!! We would highly recommend this B&B to romantic couples, weary travelers, or anyone just looking for a getaway. We will definitely return!!

Beautiful, comfortable and super clean B&B. Amazing breakfast. Fabulous friendly service and excellent attention to details. Beautiful home and garden. Great location. Innkeepers really make each guest feel special. We've been twice and are already planning our third trip!

We live in Arlington and stayed at the Waypoint House for a weekend getaway/birthday weekend in the country. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. They thought of every last detail and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic. I am gluten free and she even made us gluten free cupcakes. If you are lucky, you'll get the room on the 2nd floor with the fireplace. I wish we could go back once a month just for fun!

Room Tip: I liked the room on the second floor with the fire place. I am not sure what it is called, but she w...

My wife and I love to stay at B and B's. We love to pair a visit with some wine tastings and a great dinner. We've had some great visits, and we've had some awful trips. Visiting the Waypoint House was like catching lightning in a bottle. The house was gorgeous, the room was spacious and modern, but cozy and comfortable at the same time. As an added bonus, the host and hostess were awesome. They went over and beyond what we could have expected at every turn. We stayed during a fluke snowstorm. They had towels ready for our dog's paws when we arrived; they cleared the driveway and a space for our dog to walk; the breakfast was AMAZING. We even spent a night by the fire in the parlor sharing some drinks and stories, and came away feeling less like guests and more like old friends catching up.
Berryville is a perfect little town, and the wineries in the area could take a week to experience. Staying at the Waypoint House only made our visit more enjoyable.

Room Tip: Hearth & Home room is popular in the winter because of the private fireplace. We saw the other t...

We stayed here for one night, and I wish it was for two. The hostess, Rachael, is charming and full of great advice. The house comes out of the pages of a shelter magazine -- our room was comfortable, nicely decorated, with a fabulous bathroom (huge tub, shower, tons of space, great toiletries/robes/sliippers). The location is perfect for exploring wineries or antique shops, and it appears there is live music every weekend in the summer at one or another venues. Several surprisingly good restaurants for a small town - we had a great meal. And the B&B breakfast was yet another wonderful meal - a memorable egg, potato and gruyere dish was the star, but the sides were all delicious as well. Unusually, our 2 standard poodles were welcomed - and they enjoyed it as much as we did, with homemade dog treats waiting in our room (which I almost ate but I much preferred the brownies left for us) and a beautiful back garden. We relaxed in the evening in the garden with a bottle of wine, enjoying the birds, bunnies, and cicadas---I am looking forward to going back, and have already recommended it to several friends.

If you are interested in touring the Virginia Wine Country and need a place to stay, you couldn't ask for a better reception than what you will receive at the Waypoint House. Rachel and John are impeccable hosts and every room is well appointed. A charming blackboard welcomes you by name. The house is beautifully restored with oak floors and high ceilings, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are fully modern. Fabulous brownies with strawberries were in my room upon arrival...snacks and soft drinks were also offered. The backyard is gorgeous - beautiful flower beds and a large porch with comfortable outdoor furniture AND a hammock. The linens and towels are top-notch and bathrobes and slippers are available. Breakfast was delicious - a frittata, sausage, fresh fruit and chocolate chips scones. You don't need a reason to stay here - give yourself a treat and make a reservation - with only three guest rooms, you should book quickly!!!

Rachel and Jonathan have nailed blending the 1800's architectural charm of this house with modern amenities without sacrificing either. Breakfast is amazing and dietary restrictions or allergies are not an issue. I have stayed here solo and with my husband, who has traveled the world and continues to rave about our stay here. The house is clean and I have no reservation sliding into the linens, where I am usually skittish in a 5 star hotel. The attention to detail and personalized service this couple delivers is consistent and phenomenal.
