Had a good time looking through all the antique shops. People are very friendly. A lot to look at. Convenient parking.

“Great place to browse”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2014

This is a neat street separating VA from TN. There are lots of quaint shops and restaurants some with outdoor seating. We had a burger at the Famous Burger Bar. State Street also has lots of music events in the evening. Country Music Hall of Fame is opening here in August 2014. Bristol is the birthplace of country music.

“City meets country!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014 via mobile

Bristol is a combination of a small city, with half in each side of Va.and Tn. Our roots run to country. We are the birthplace of country music.

“Downtown has it all”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2014

You can visit antique shops, shop boutique clothing stores, find art, have a great meal, and then have coffee and dessert at a bakery. Almost everything downtown is locally owned and operated, with friendly staff and helpful staff. Park your car on a nice day, and walk. Take pictures with the famous Bristol sign. Stand in 2 states at once. You'll be glad you did it, and probably come back again.

“An amazingly updated downtown”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 April 2014

While downtown Bristol is famous for shopping for antiques and the renovated Paramount Theater, it has a myriad of wonderful restaurants and bars that can make a night out really fun. Recently, we visited two places on consecutive nights and had a wonderful time at both. First was 620 State, a restaurant/bar featuring Asian Fusion food, wonderful sushi, and great spirits - we enjoyed a great wine with dinner and ended with Angel's Envy whiskey. The next evening was spent at Macados. They feature custom sandwiches and have a good selection of beers. It feels like a beer place and the sandwiches (and appetizers) were simply "out of this world" good. I would recommend a visit to State Street on your next visit to Bristol and the food and entertainment may now equal or exceed the opportunities to shop for unique antiques!
