“Not too bad!”
Reviewed 18 May 2014 via mobile

I'm not a chain girl but the proximity to my hotel and the smell of cheddar bay biscuits lured me in. Food was pretty good. Lost points in the "chicken" department. The buffalo "chicken" appetizer and "chicken Alfredo" both sported what appeared to be molded-and- baked play-doh. Bummer. Service was good, but wasn't offered another drink, and the check was brought before we had ordered another drink. Just bc we were too full for dessert doesn't mean we didn't want another glass of wine...

“Never again”
Reviewed 22 March 2014

Red Lobster is an old favorite of mine and they've always been the closest option to fresh seafood in the mountains of Southwest Virginia. It has been about 2 years since we visited Red Lobster and we were very disappointed with our most recent visit. The service was poor- the server couldn't answer any of our questions about the menu items and didn't offer to ask someone else either. We thought maybe she was just new and didn't know any better. Then our food arrived and it was almost inedible. The fried green bean appetizer was nothing but green beans covered with clumps of cornmeal and flour soaked in vegetable oil, all of the shrimp was overcooked to the point of being tough and chewy, and the vegetables were overcooked and mushy. The roasted potatoes were hard (uncooked) on the inside but burned to a crisp on the outside. The garlic cheese biscuits were delicious as always but the rest of the meal was awful. We paid $42.95 for this meal and left feeling hungry. This location needs to train their servers in customer service and hire a new chef!

“Best Red Lobster In A Year!”
Reviewed 16 February 2014

This Red Lobster looked to be packed but we thought we would take a chance. We walked in and the Hostess seated us immediately. Our waitress was bubbly and accomodating. My husband had ordered the "fresh fish of the day" haddock and I ordered the lobster & shrimp platter. The manager came to our table and said they were out of the haddock due to the storm in Atlanta and their truck being unable to get supplies to them. We surely understood having been stuck in Atlanta for an additional 3 days due to the storm! The manager spoke with us for a few minutes and soon our meals came. My husband had ordered the cod and both of our meals were excellant! The assistant manager came to make sure we were happy with our meals and gave us information on the Rhythm & Roots Festival as she and our waitress spoke with us for a few more minutes. In the past year, we have been to two other Red Lobster's-one in Albany, NY and one in Chattanooga, TN both experiences were not good. Albany -we had to wait for 25 minutes for a table for 2, yet I counted 23 empty tables on the way to the ladies room. Chatanooga - we waited for 35 minutes for a table for 4, yet their were 19 empty tables. The food both times was just okay with two meals being cold and service not too good. The Red Lobster in Bristol was packed yet we were seated immediately and the staff from the waitress to the manager were awesome. If you like seafood go to this one and see the difference, it was a great experience.

“Best Red Lobster we have found!”
Reviewed 19 January 2014

We eat here several times a year for birthdays usually;) The place is clean, the staff is for the most part right on it and the food is great. In all of our experiences we have only had 1 mediocre visit. That's pretty good for all the times we have been. I do not even like fish! The non fishy items are very tasty and very appreciated. So I can have a great meal while my fish and seafood loving family and friends ooo and ahh over their meals.

“Horrible very disappointed”
Reviewed 5 November 2013

First waiter was not helpful knew nothing about menu.really seemed he cared more about flirting with the lil waitresses instead of his customers. We had no refill in fact had to ask another waiter bypassing for extra napkins and sauce for our dish. The atmosphere was dirty very shocking as other red lobsters I have been to were very clean and waiters as well as waitress were always knowledgeable and concerned about customer treatment. I'm astonished at this location and how they can even be called red lobster as my experience was anything except what red lobster represents.
