Greg and Donna seemed to think of everything it takes to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We stayed on the first floor. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom, perfect. They even left bath salts and lip gloss. It was very clean. We happened to be the only guests, so we got really special attention. The breakfast was wonderful too. The town is also very charming. Unfortunately, it was still the off-season, so not everything was open. My husband and I are looking forward to returning, perhaps in August.

Mid-week in April can be a quieter time in Cape Charles, but our town is constantly growing and we are looking forward to more shops and restaurants being open for longer seasons. We've had 2 new shops open just since your visit. Our Barnegat Room on the first floor is a very popular choice because of its private entrance. We hope we do see you again and maybe you will get to experience another one of our guest rooms.

Greg and Donna know exactly how to make their guests feel at home and comfortable. The Inn is beautifully furnished and decorated. We stayed in the blue room on the second floor - king size WONDERFUL bed. The bathroom was so great and had everything you might need. And everything is so well maintained and clean. Nice home style breakfast each morning starting with freshly made muffins that melt in your mouth. Would highly recommend The Fig Street Inn if you are visiting Cape Charles.

We get so many compliments on our beds - thank you! They are amazing mattresses and we only wish we had ordered one for ourselves. These guests stayed in our Chesapeake Room - our most popular room, and my personal favorite. Thank you for all of your wonderful words about our rooms, breakfasts, amenities, and us. It truly is appreciated and we are so grateful we could provide a great stay for you.

We just returned from an incredible weekend visit to this lovely Inn. The accommodations were sumptuous down to the tiniest details. Our room had beautifully appointed antique furniture, sumptuous linens and a gas fireplace, with the addition of every modern convenience imaginable. (even a Tide pen in the bathroom) There was an extensive DVD library, free WiFi, a candy table and other delightful amenities too numerous to mention. Hosts Donna & Greg were gracious and helpful with terrific suggestions ranging from dining to sightseeing. Hot coffee and a variety of moist flavorful muffins were ready at 8:30 am, as promised and a delicious breakfast followed. We felt welcomed, pampered and thoroughly comfortable. This is a must-stay an any visit to Cape Charles and we will be back!

A one night stay at the FSI provides the relaxation and stress-relief levels of a much longer stay elsewhere. After our second visit in a year, I can attest that the optimal balance of hospitality and privacy isn't a one-time-thing. Gracious hosts, warm surroundings, incredibly comfortable beds and an amazing breakfast all at a reasonable price = great value. We'll definitely return and will encourage friends to make the trip.

I took my girlfriend to spend a night in Cape Charles for our anniversary. I picked the Fig Street Inn based on reviews and it did not disappoint. This was our first stay in a B&B and we had a great time. Check-in/check-out was easy and Donna made us feel at home. The breakfast in the morning was great too! I would definitely recommend this place.

It was so wonderful staying there. Greg and Donna were great! Very hospitable! We stayed in the room downstairs off the kitchen (which I totally recommend if you have never stayed in a B&B before) and it was so quiet we never new we were in someone's home with two small children! Private entrance of our own, on suite luxury bath with jetted tub and the most comfortable bed I personally have ever slept in...we are considering buying for our own! Food was great and cooked to order(which I am NOT easy to please)! Overall, we loved it and my husband HATES B&B's normally. We plan to come back in the Spring when the weather is nicer just to stay there! :) Julie & V from Yorktown, VA

Room Tip: Definitely stay in the room we did, it is worth a little more with the private entrance and on suite...

Just got a call today from someone you recommended our inn to - that means so much! We know your husband had concerns about staying at a "b&b", and we are firmly committed to not being a stereotypical bed and breakfast. We are all about creating a modern, personal experience for our guests. Glad both of you enjoyed your visit and we could show you our version of a b&b.

We stopped at the visitors center after crossing the bay bridge tunnel, and they knew the owners of the Fig Street Inn. We went into SE Expeditions in Cape Charles to finalize our kayaking winery trip. They knew the owners of FSI. The owners were primary planners of the local arts festival. Great inn! (Note: they have a cat if you have allergies). We stayed in the suite! Fantastic bed and a bathroom that I wanted to pack up and take home. Good restaurant recommendations as well, even which to hit on which nights and the best times for quick service. The breakfasts were good but not up to gourmet standards. You will be very, very happy with a stay at the Fig Street Inn.
