Why the title? In short, I am afraid that at some future date I will not able to make reservations at Fig Street Inn because my review motivated a TA reader to get there ahead of me! FSI is the 5th B&B we've stayed at in Cape Charles over about a 15 year period. Except for the distance from the beach (no problem if you have bicycles, like we did), I would rate FSI at the top of the heap. The room was good sized with one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in, and Donna and Greg thoughtfully provide all of the little extras you might want (e.g., water, sodas, a table of snacks for midnight munchies) or need (a Tide stain pen was in the bathroom). Breakfast -- made to order by Greg -- was wonderful, and adequately fuels you for a day of whatever you have planned (bike riding, golf, sleeping on the beach, walking around town -- whatever).
If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of a small beachfront town, it would be hard to top Cape Charles -- and if you come to Cape Charles and want to be assured of a great accommodations, stay at Fig Street Inn. Just don't take the last remaining room, because I might want it!

Our first time in Cape Charles and will definitely be going back. A great place to celebrate the fourth of July!! We enjoyed our stay at Fig Street Inn and both Donna and Greg were wonderful hosts and very willing to help make our stay the most it could be! Gotta try the Brown Dog Ice Cream and Eastville Inn for dinner if you go! Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend!

From the moment I called to book the reservation I felt welcome, Greg was very helpful in finding the house, there is off street parking. Our room had it's own door to the outside and was very large, with a private bath that was beautifully decorated. The bed was very nice, TV available if you were interested. Breakfast was delicious. The other guest were return guest and very nice to talk to, we enjoyed hearing where they were from and their trip plans. We, fell in love with Cape Charles and it's charm and would love to go back. When we do we'll call Greg. Golf carts are welcome all over town, it's the way to go. The beach is beautiful.

Lovely B&B. Wonderfully restored and maintained. They were so friendly and accommodating. Told us lots of great info about the area and their experiences as owners. Good was great and there were always snacks available and water and soda in the fridge. Restaurants were a little slower then we are use to In Philadelphia but good and service was fabulous. We gave a 4 in location just because it's a little ways from the beach, but you can really walk everywhere so it was no problem for us. Small town where everyone says hello and is super friendly. If we come this way again we would definitely stay at Fig Street. We stayed in the only downstairs room and it was very comfortable.

Greg and Donna have created the perfect place to get away from it all and truly relax. Their Fig Street Inn has been modernized but all of the charm of a19th century home still welcomes you. They are wonderful hosts, gourmets and people. You will love the beds! We will come again.

My husband had never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast before. At first he was a little uncomfortable, knowing we were staying in someone else house. But, I think by the time we had to leave to started to like the idea and was talking about us opening one! :)

Cape Charles...LOVE LOVE LOVE...you have to be the kind of person who wants, needs or enjoys peace. If you do, this is the place for you. We went to the Aqua for dinner. It was so yummy!!

We're thrilled you found us for your last minute getaway and enjoyed some peace and quiet in our little town. It was such a beautiful weekend to visit. If you ever do decide to pursue the innkeeping life, we are happy to share. We've been doing this almost 10 years and hope to have many, many, many more years of it.
